I'd be surprised if it hasn't already been sent to be cubed to be honest.

thats got the wheels I want for mine on it!!

As fitted to the pre 83 MK3 Ghia's with the chrome trims and centre cap you are after

I do like the look of your Mk3 in gold. One thing that strikes me as odd is why Ford put the wood trim in the Escorts and not the same age Orions

Better seats in the Orion though! I had a set of those in another Mk3 Escort Ghia I had about 9/10 years ago...I'll dig the photos out sometime.

I think that the escort Ghia was more of a Luxury Spec, given that they had the XR3, XR3i, RS1600i and RS Turbo to cover the sporty side of the range, whereas the Orion Ghia Inj had to cover both the luxury and sports market, well I guess until the 1600e came out with the MKIV Orion.

Mr RegieRitmo, if you click on "enlarge" in the picture of the Escort you can just make it out written on that old tax disc in the windscreen. ;)

:?::? Not a chance of reading anything on that tax disc in the enlarged picture, unless you've got a super duper monitor, or you can enlarge the photo further than I can here at work....Mark.*EDIT* Okay, I geddit now

Funnily enough I tried the enlarged picture before asking in case it was visible somewhere but the picture wouldn't load & crashed my internet connection!

When I read this in the rag, I KNEW there would be a thread on this forum today!!!!

It does kind of imply that it's been there for 20-odd years or something, but since 2001? doesn't seem very news-worthy to me... There's an Astra Mk1 estate round the back of my house that's been there since 1999, I'd better ring the BBC news department!

or the daily mail.....

I've always hankered after a Mk3 combi estate like that one. Perhaps she'll sell it to me.

Did they come in Ghia trim? I know the 5 door estates did

Ho ho, look at the witty play on words this copywriter has come up with. Made me wet myself.

I think the Mk3 estates only went up to GL trim, you could get a Mk4 Ghia estate though I think. Those early Mk3 GL 3-door estates look great, and I bet they're pretty nippy with the 1.6 CVH.

This one has been parked for at least 15 years
