New here and just thought that I would say hello.

 

This looks like the perfect place for me being as I refuse to own anything newer that 15 years old. I am rather obsessed with old Volvo's as you can see - as cheap as chips these days and built like brick outhouses.

I love the old 7-series Volvos. I had a GL Saloon a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed it. The heated front seats came into their own in winter time , plus it was very comfy.Anyhow, Welcome to this fine Forum...

I've seen a few estates on an K reg (might have seen one on an L), but I can't recall seeing any Saloons new than Hutches.

Its taken me a while to get here - we have met however as you sold me that very nice red 240 estate a few years ago which I then sold back to you etc etc.

 

I also gave a knackered old Rover to somone on here but I cant for the life of me remember who it was.

Right, got it now - Hi!Glad the Rover lived on for a little while before going to meet its maker. If I remember right the gearbox was knackered.

Never even considered an Italian.

 

I had one of these in 1986. Very comfortable seats - ideal for those long waits for the AA tow truck.

I wonder if these Volvos were first registered by Linn Volvo, the first place I ever saw a 480ES?
