Silly Things That Put You Off A Car

Since this thread has now morphed into what puts one off car ads and not cars, what puts me off car ads is when they provide some reason why they want to sell the car. Not only is there hardIy anything I give a lesser shit about than what their wife says, how much space they have on their drive, whether they lost their storage, how many babies they are expecting, or that they move house, I also fail to understand why any of this could possibly be a reason for a car sale. The only thing they achieve with this is that I click away.

^^ I did that f a few times for a mate who was no way PC literate. Lovely guy but steam engines were the love of his life and he detested PC stuff until just a couple of months ago. Mind you he mostly looks at other steam engines and jazz related stuff.

Underseal copiously applied to bits that should never be under sealed

Cars that no-one could be arsed vacuuming out before taking pics.

I bought a 1975 transit from a gentleman of the travelling community. It looked truly horrible and smelt even worse. I queried the dreadful stench and he threw in what I took to be an unusual sales pitch - "I've 'ad my fakkin dog in that van". Naturally I needed no further persuading and the vehicle proved to be a paragon of reliability. Only a fresh corpse in the boot would put me off.
