214 Rover Raffle Roffle

Recommended Posts

This has gone straight through the MOT today (they blew the washer jets clear and replaced one bulb) with no advisories. Running like the proverbial Swiss watch and is a really pleasant place to be.

Price remains £450 ono, I'm going to tackle giving it a bit of a valet and maybe peanut butter the bumpers back into life a bit.

I would buy this but have a nut allergy so im ooot.

On a serious note lovely looking car, and now with full ticket has to sell for the £450 asking. I wish i had a few quid, a lot of land to keep all these bargains that come up.

I've got an empty lockup at the moment and a huge desire to own this car or the raffle one. No way of getting it to Scotland though !

Have entered the raffle so the disappointment of not winning might send me over the edge towards this one :)

Mainline railway station? 1.7 miles

Nearest petrol station? 1.2 miles.

(From) nearest petrol station to M53? 1.8 miles.

M53 to M6 North? 21 miles

M6 North to Scotland with a 16V K-series soundtrack? Priceless.

Would be a big help and would make the deal a possible goer. Just need not to win the one in the raffle now!!

Don't let me put anyone else off buying in the meantime! You would be saving me from myself and the wrath of er indoors :)

I`ve had a few of these over the years

Anybody ever had any luck with cleaning the fabric speaker covers on the doors?

From memory Tom, they come off after un-doing one screw on the forward edge of the door card, you can then give them some gentle love in a washing up bowl.

I've just noticed a shallow sort of (minor) dent in the o/s/r wheel arch, you've pretty much got to catch it in the right light to see it, but it's there. Shiter's discount available as something else has caught my eye, and I don't want to throw this to the baying lunatics on an internet auction site if I can help it.

This is a lovely car and feck knows why it hasn't found a new home.

I might be tempted but a recent purchase has wiped me out for money and space.

Folks may be holding out for the John's raffle result. After that, hopefully you'll be fighting off the punters with a mucky stick.

Or they've been complete arses and gone OFF SITE to purchase more different, much worse quality vehicles that are exactly the same but different.

Hmm, tempting but I worry we're getting all raffled out now. Mind you, at least Scotland is easy to get from here, so maybe it is a good idea.

Lol, FFS give me a day or two then to decide before you do!

Inevitable, I suppose. Ten quid a throw, pm me for payment details, please. Will aim for this Sat but if (ha!) not old sold by then, will aim for Wednesday 29th July instead.

In a lame attempt to spice things up a bit they'll be a mystery bonus* prize in the boot. And no, it's not my dog or something that's come out of him.

Is it ok to send you this and the Cholmondeley cash in the same transaction?
