post-18106-0-09129400-1429301322_thumb.jpgHad this for nearly 2 years, paid £ 180.00,for it as was heading for the scrappers otherwise, no MoT but it ran fine. Fixed the ABS light on by connecting the wires under the seat ?? and flew through the MoT. Have changed various sensors to cure it running hot in traffic, turned out to be the fan relays being toast ,so bypassed all that crap and fitted a switch on the centre console to do the clever bit. Then the clutch went last year so fitted a new one out on the street as I have no drive/garage, also did ARB bushes while it was in bits. Sorted laquer peel on boot and bonnet with a few coats of matt black paint applied with a small foam roller !! Heres some pics.post-18106-0-05565600-1429300881_thumb.jpgpost-18106-0-75968800-1429300910_thumb.jpgpost-18106-0-22675600-1429300938_thumb.jpgpost-18106-0-05454600-1429300982_thumb.jpgpost-18106-0-44689100-1429301009_thumb.jpg

I was thinking of getting one of these before I bought the merc. I love the shape, but didn't really like the interior.

Great save! These for me remain the pug high water mark, great looking things. I was sorely tempted by Carlos when he punted his on last year, but one modern to insure is enough for me and brokers ironically don't see these as ' classics'

Wow!!! Doing a clutch on one of these on the street demands serious respect!!!! Nice work man!!!

I'm buying one of these for my 30th birthday present to myself to celebrate the end of my youth. These are probably the only genuinely beautiful cars of the last 25-odd years and are hugely undervalued. Cannot wait til next January!

Yeah, I like these too. I keep an eye out for one for sale cheaply. Sadly most around here are low spec 2 litre ones in silver....meh. They do a lovely dark metallic green version that I would jump at if I could find a V6 auto in the right price.

Thanks for the comments,Well if you love a car and cant justify paying a mechanical person/persons, you got to lie in the gutter and swear a lot in public, my neighbours are concerned about my sanity.I have tried to explain the Autoshite philosofee but they just dont get it Lol.

Top grafting! I prefer lack appeal to Matt Black but there's just no way in the world you could make one of them look anything less than lovely. Best lines on a French car ever?

Nice ferrari 456 mate. Really nice cars these.

Weren't these designed by pininfarina? Definetly a future classic if I ever saw one.

/\ I remember reading that; I think it was initially designed for Fiat but they rejected it over their in-house design. So Pininfarina sold it to Peugeot instead!

Ahem. See my sig for at least two examples that disprove this theory

Mine has been fantastic, looks far more expensive than it actually is, lovely ride, lots of kit and full of character but without the stereotypical French "character"

Thats the thing about opinions.  Evenryones allowed a different one.

I think is a lovely looking car from a mainstream manufacturer, interior is a bit boring, but the v6 is a lovely piece of kit, 1,200 rpm in 5th = 30mph, and it pulls away effortlessly, or drop 2 gears and go like f,,k. 33mpg on a run. Love it.  :-D  :-D
