Quick question, will there be anywhere to eat on Friday at or near the musuem or have we got to bring a BBQ and some buggers?

I'm going with the "Postcode of destination just in case, and just follow any old shitter and hope it's part of our group!" plan for saturday

I was hoping someone/people had a fire cooking thing, and that if I slipped away to the nearby co-op I could add to the pile and maybe have something cooked for me.

Failing that, I bought a few tins of stagg chilli to do on my little gas stove

As has been said, there's loads of takeaways in Llangollen for food on Friday

I can hear the excuses on Saturday night already ....  I was following this (random scruffy old motor) thinking it was xxxxxx and ended up in Cardiff/Swansea/Anglesey.

I've not got much left after fuel and camping so might pick up a bbq disposable job and some sausages!

I like the way my phones predictive text picks bugger before burger... If i'm coming up in the Cortina I don't know if i fancy a nearly 3 hour drive to Devil's bridge so I might just follow the sat nav straight there, I'll see how it goes.

Depending on fuel trigger I may go that route too mate. Wales countryside is nice regardless of what route you take.

^ True, but please allow me to lower your expectations of just how A our A-roads are, anywhere between the M4 and Wrexham.

You can all stop mithering on about the weather though, it's been blinding sunshine all day today and we're planning to keep it that way.  (Apart from maybe the odd thunderstorm on Friday morning.)

Aye. Beautiful weather. Should dry the ground out a bit. Probably won't need a rubber mallet for your pegs.

I went last year on a c90 bike meet. Loved the area and the lakes. Good to hear it has been nice weather, last year it absolutely pissed it down.

Went shitefest shopping earlier. Will get any breakfast or fresh stuff closer to the venue.

I take you your weekend will consist of drinking water and having a shit by the look of the supplies  :-D

Anybody is welcome to use my cooking kit even if I do end up going for a takeaway myself. I'll have teabags too, so bring a mug if you want some.

I've just dug out a small BBQ from the garage, I don't know how to use it but at least I'll look the part.

Two mud & now tyres on, two to go... 1f9c1092ce88625ba194047ba4388bdf.jpg

Now if you were bringing a proper B10M we would all have somewhere dry to kip. This place isn't what it used to be, etc, mutter, grumble, ad-infinitum,

Theres a few bottles of booze, and i have an errand to run tomorrow to get some more...

The waters not for drinking, but at 17p a bottle was cheaper than buying a water container thing!

Did get quilted bog roll though, treat myself...

It runs quite happily on veg and probably has the least amount of issues out of the rest of the fleet. Preparations are just to get the 12v connection working and I'm good to go...

I may be interested. And willing to chip in on combustible materials too. Means I can split up the sausages instead of having to eat them in one go on a disposable bbq!

Brill, I'll bring a box of matches and a sausage.

Very nice! Then I tried to update the shatnav, but my man drawer, man cupboard AND man box have failed me in finding a Mini usb cable. I know where one is, but it's 25 miles away in a locked alarmed empty building...

Posted

Fucking 5 years ago I was falling over the damn things. Now, every cable is Micro USB, but looks the same in a drawer full of other cables until you untangle the bastard out and find it isn't...

Mud and snow tyres now fitted with full set of 15in alloys. Council Estate now looks like a geriatric with new trainers.13b7220855c31860b364b4ebb8414948.jpg
