Jackytwoshoes' worldly spots

Going back a bit, but was that yellow Elan the one on *road name removed* in Dulwich? Hardly ever moves, that thing, and seems to drift between various states of disrepair, filthiness and flat tyres. There always used to be a white Amazon at the other end of the road.

The very devil. I always like it when you see cars such as this being used, parked on the street and not overly pampered. Although sadly in this case it sounds like it's a little under pampered. If it came to live with me I'd get the balance just right, promise.

When I get my lottery win the very first thing i will do is hot-foot it to Paul Matty and buy an Elan on the spot, such is my urgent desire to own one.

I moved away from South London a couple of years ago so it's nice seeing the spots in my old area; Sydenham, Penge, Crystal Palace, Dulwich, Herne Hill and Brixton. Don't know how long you've been there but there's been a massive change in who lives around there in the last 10 years, so a lot of the old regulars I used to see parked up as a kid had disappeared by the time I went.

Keep them coming *pushes rose tints up nose*.

Only lived here a couple of years, but the change is already noticeable. I saw that Elan on the way to work after picking up my C90 from Dave wilkins in Penge. He's bloody brilliant, so old school. Even though I could do it myself he's so cheap and quick that I go there anyway. There's an old Jag breakers in the same bit of yard hidden behind some houses, it's like a different world.

The front-bumper-less XJ series 1 with Wolfrace wheels is exactly what I wanted in 1976. Hope it's a V12.

I spoke to the guy who owned it and he was talking about how he was going to put some 17"s on it for "better handling"

Well this thread has been thoroughly ruined by photobucket... Hey ho, onwards!

This sits on a busy road in North London, scruffy and in daily use, unlike most of them which have must have succumbed to pineapples by now. I doff my cap.

Was in Southern France recently and these little blighters are everywhere! Both the dreamy genuine 2 stroke RV90's and their less compelling 4 stroke Skyteam replicas, and Honda whatever they are and corresponding replicas.

Check out this amazing Aston! This is in a mega posh bit of London where I work sometimes.Looks like it's  been wheeled out onto the street from some luxury abode and is happily collecting parking tickets at a cheaper rate than garage rent. There was no exhaust and from the way that the from is sitting maybe no engine. The photos do not do justice to how very dusty it was. MEGA.

Satisfyingly crispy

Flipping eck! This was absolutely motoring down the fast lane. I've seen plenty in magazines and books from my boyhood but I never ever expected to see one doing 100mph in the rain in 2017..

IMG_6037.jpg

What exactly is this and can I have one please?

IMG_6260.jpg

Rock ON! Would absolutely love to commute on this.. and what's that.. a pull start?? Brilliant.

This Accord is clearly appropriately adorned with cones, giffer pads and framed ariel photographs of London's financial district.

I 1000% would roll in this.

I think I posted this in the bikeshite thread, but I think it warrants another go at fame.

Foxy camper! Is it a fox? Anyway I later overtook it on the motorway at a closing speed of about 60mph and I'm pretty sure I was doing about 65mph.

Ho ho ho! Look at this! Just look at it! All sorts of wrong and right!

Lolllss. It was more of a theatrical "What is THIS" to transport you all to the magical moment of spotting

That Aston was last taxed in 1990!

It sold at auction back in 1998 for £13500

But now seems to be a storage/theft issue - see below PH thread

Interesting- good find! I wonder what happened in the end...

Don't think I've seen it before, but it is PENG.

Is it parked next to it's great-grandchild the Jazz? Or is that some other jap hatch like a Colt? All moderns, etc.

Yeah, it's parked in front of a 2008-2015 Jazz. Lovely vehicles

Oh yeah! Didn’t notice that as I was clearly blinded. It was slap bang in the centre of London so whoever loves it, loves it to the tune of £12.5 a day or whatnot

This stopped me in my tracks and gave me one of those deep and quiet "this is why I love cars" moments.

I mean, just look at it.
