I haven't seen those cream Ford trims in forever... my aunt's old Fez had them.

I took a photo of that Holden years ago when it was on the road.   It looked a bit crusty then if I remember...

A friend of mine once described these as looking like a tampon.

I'm not usually into stuff pre 60's but these Citroens float my boat.

And on the same street we have:

Hopefully owned by the same guy as the Citroen. Clearly some win happening on that street anyway.

There's a touch of holy grail to this.

You can just imagine the smell of the hot cracked dusty interior.

Honk Honk Rickman alert!

Surely I win a prize for this!

I've recently smashed my arm on my push bike hence I'm riding shotgun in the BX and able to snap on road based chod, which in turn puts a positive spin on the whole smashed arm thing.

I agree that Opel Ascona is smashing, I hope the elderly gent you describe piloting it disposes of it to an enthusiast when he retires from driving rather than calling the scrapman.

I tried to spark up a conversation about it, my plan was along the lines of "that's amazing, here's my number and if you ever sell it" but he was so deaf that he couldn't understand a word I was saying . He seemed a bit threatened and confused that I was showing an interest in his motor so I just sighed and left him to it.

Going back a bit, but was that yellow Elan the one on *road name removed* in Dulwich? Hardly ever moves, that thing, and seems to drift between various states of disrepair, filthiness and flat tyres. There always used to be a white Amazon at the other end of the road.
