Found this under the xmas tree:

Counts your steps and reports it to the web where missus looks it up. Only God knows what happens if you don't hit the target..

Buddy told me to wear it on the right arm, find a quiet spot in the park, take some 80's colour mags and everybody will be happy.

Tried this, but reading reviews raving about the brand new Tagora didn't make the counter move at all.

Finally opted to put second electronic gadget found under the tree to good use:

After some fiddling with various "freeware", apart from filling pc with loads of evilware, i actually managed to get some old CD's i didnt listen to for years onto the thingy.

Listening to the music is actually nice, the walking doesnt really spoil it and best of all, there's a lot of shite around here i never noticed before. Here we go with todays spots.

Album of the day: David Lindley El Rayo-X

Spots of the day:

The missus has one of those step county things and they have a competition each week at work. She generally straps it to the cats leg and then lets it out with next doors dog. Wins every week.

What is that second gadget exactly? It looks like a somewhat old fashioned MP3 player but I don't see any track changing controls or a headphone out port?

Lovely stuff, those caravans would go for a mint over here.   There's no doubt that shite livens up a dull walk....Unfortunately all I seem to pass on my daily tromp are bastard carriers - usually parked on the kerb where their stupid sticky out mirrors can twat the chests of technophobic middle-aged men trying to text and walk at the same time.   Oooof.

Simple USB stick MP3 player, just plug into PC and copy MP3's across.

I hate anything "touch", its all bloated with "features" serving no other purpose but to deeply hide the basic controls you need to make the device do it was made for. This one has real buttons and no more than it actually needs, does the job, no more no less.

That's quite neat actually, might pick one up for myself. I've had an iPhone 4 for four years and had an iPod Touch for a couple of years before that and by far & away the worst thing about them is iTunes. My dad had a Zune in the days before Apple dominated this corner of the market and I actually really liked it because it was like an iPod but I could just drag music onto it like a USB stick negating the need for iTunes.

The headset that comes with is crap, works well with old sony in-ear's i had in the drawer. Dont install the software that comes with, no good and no need. Just copy mp3's onto it and done.

This is good to convert CD's to Mp3's: http://cdex.mu/, free, no adware etc. Unfortunatley found it but after trying several others, had plenty trouble to completely remove them...

That's a given, I have never found in-hear headphones that are any good.

Windows Media Player also does CD to MP3 and is probably already on your computer.

Unless it's become corrupted and won't run...but that's my problem ;-)

New home = China. Apparently when Zundapp went bust the Chinese bought the manufacturing equipment and sent over a troop of workers to strip the factory. No accommodation was provided and the workers slept in the packing cases.

From what i read, these were build for speedy overnight delivery of newspapers. They could take up to 2 tons of load and were not subject to speed limits and weekend restrictions that apply to trucks,

I seem to remember Nightfreight having one of these CX 6 wheelers over here (think it was a high top 2 door), either for evaluation or promotional purposes. One turns up with a Beaulieu stall-holder most years. Good spottage!
