mat_the_cat Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Not the best looking wheels ever IMO, but I can't think of any that suit the shape of a BX better: EDIT - beaten to it by FDB while mine was uploading! laser wheels, vulgalour and forddeliveryboy 3
DS20 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Ma_DS20 had an 18 just like this one in the early '80s. I thought (and still think) the wheels are brilliantly stylish given that 1. there are no wheel-trims, and 2. they're steel, not alloy (I think). ed5000 1
junkyarddog Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Mk1 Granadas look fantastic on these wheels. Magnificent Rustbucket, saucedoctor and danthecapriman 3

rml2345 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 MK3s really suited these, especially the posh ones with the extra cladding and whatnot. Rusty_Rocket, mat_the_cat and richardthestag 3
rml2345 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 The original "easy clean" wheels with chrome trim look about 1100% better than bloody wire wheels. vulgalour, Magnificent Rustbucket, richardthestag and 4 others 7
NorfolkNWeigh Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 I think Minilites or one of their many imitators can work on pretty much anything, perhaps it's the designed for purpose image or motorsport heritage. alf892 1

garethj Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 These too. Although the tyre profile looks a bit low at 70 series. Magnificent Rustbucket 1
r.welfare Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 820i.jpg That was mine, I got it for free. The wheels were the best thing about the car. What a horrible piece of shit that 820 was, I was glad to weigh it in - 11 previous owners, gearbox like a Moulinex Magimix in 1st and 2nd, knackered exhaust, the usual electrical woes (windows that would go up and down 2mm at a time), snapped doorhandles. In wheel-related news I collected an Almera Streetwise for my wife last night that has 18" wheels as standard - obviously that's unacceptable, so I am off to Milton Keynes tonight to pick up a far more sensible set of 16" steels. The 18s will be sold on eBay and the proceeds will go into the Christmas fund. Job jobbed. DS20, KruJoe and eddyramrod 3
richardthestag Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 This thread could lift the heaviest heart I think these always looked cleaner on steelies that wires The gentleman in this picture is standing a little further away giving the impression that the vehicle is fucking massive Magnificent Rustbucket and vulgalour 2
