I think they are.   GM J car or something.  

 

A quick google shows that it is the J2000 and Sunbird that are related to the cavalier.   This fine automobile is even better...

and thats for sale at one of the dodgiest dealers in coventry. Numerous name changes and previous convictions for clocking. Their yard is like a little scrapyard you used to see in the '80's.

A couple of times when I've been looking, I've spotted that, and discounted it as it's overpriced (IMHO).  I would be wanting 3-400 off even from 995, which I don't think is going to happen.  Pity that, as I've never owned a Pontiac (yet).  Mind it's only a few months ago I'd never owned any American Ford!
