I can not believe how little is left of what was a complete car 20 odd years ago

If only the last owner knew what it could fetch if it was tucked away in the garage.

Mk2 Escort GL or Ghia if I'm not mistaken...

"Escort has no MOT but no reason why it should not pass one"

"Easy fix"

"Fair condition for year"

Four-door...

No, it's definitely a two-door!

A shame they're both on the nearside though...

That's a four door.

Looks like the last mkII I owned I think it may fail its mot on corrosion around the MacPherson top mounts.

Glad to see you're getting some use out of it :) How are you finding it off road?

You need to get some better shots of that.

I shall do that with a camera rather than the phone but it will have to wait until winter sets in as the nettles are still a tad stingy  it is well off the beaten track which makes it even more interesting the amount of bits that's been cut of it, I have visions of someone carrying the engine for miles then returning for the gearbox. :-D

its a cracking wee jeep but it think it will be better when we get some rain as the ground is rock hard and that's not as much fun,

Was, I mean is there a VIN plate on it?

nope it was removed 20 odd years ago :-D along with the plates,

the car was parked up in a well hidden place as this was around the time when you had to pay the scrap man to take a car in

Wow, '75 - '76 Olympic blue action. Might be Riviera though.

I'm guessing the 711M, close ratio four sped and the 3.54 ratio pumpkin have been pulled?
