Autoshite book sale! Much cheapness

It's a fairly balanced view of both, Station - showing how Nissan (and others) gained at Ford's expense during the 70's, but then how Ford (and others) learned from Nissan.  It's written by an American but not biased.

I thought that dodgy Delorean character was mine?

You've got the DeLorean autobiography (On a clear day you can see General Motors), but the other book about him is still available, unless you'd like it as well? Or did you mean you wanted the other one?

To clarify - "On a clear day you can see General Motors" is DeLorean talking about his automotive life at Packard then GM, "Rise and Fall of a Dream Maker" covers the development of the gullwing car to the cocaine sting, and is written by someone else.

Sorry, I didn't realize you had two Delorean books, I should pay more attention!

Just spoken to I.T. Dept, they say funds have been transferred to your(or possibly someone else's) off shore account.

I confirm receipt!  Much obliged.

Here's hoping that Royal Mail and Hermes do their bit properly.

Hi Richard

I'll have the Road and Track VW book if sporty-white doesn't want it

Ok, if he doesn't come forward or no one else wants it in the next 2 weeks, it's yours!

So did we decide what was left?

Yes. See my post after yours on page 2. What do you fancy?

DeLorean - Rise and Fall of a dream maker

Still available? Ta.

That's a definition of 'optimism' I'm unfamiliar with...  ;)

I don't want to tempt fate but Hermes have been fine for me in the past.

Yes, PM'd.

Reply duly sent. Plus monies.

Still here are:

  • Saab NG900 (93-98 model) development story
  • Project VN (1988 Holden Commodore development story)
  • Roadcraft - the Police Driver's handbook
  • The Reckoning by David Halberstam
  • Flat Out, Flat Broke - Perry McCarthy

As a bump, can I just sat the Perry McCarthy book is a terrific read, one biography I've read over and over again.  Brilliant.

McCarthy does not lack chutzpah, nor an ability to remain resolutely upbeat.

Saab and McCarthy books now taken.  So we're left with:

  • Project VN (1988 Holden Commodore development story)
  • Roadcraft - the Police Driver's handbook
  • The Reckoning by David Halberstam

If no interest before the end of the month (when AnthonyG collects his load), I'll donate them to the RNLI.  This is not the book equivalent of trying to drum up interest by threatening scrappage, by the way.

Received my books via Hermes today. Very pleased. Wife less so ('what? more bloody car books!').

Just got in and mine were delivered this morning too. Thanks . Trouble is I now want an XR3i and a 2 door Range Rover, could end up being very expensive £1 books.

Woof!  Royal Mail and Hermes deliver the goods!  Glad you're collectively happy, chaps.  Hope the Hermes boys enjoyed the gaffer taped boxes (I was out of parcel tape...).
