Anyone going to Harpenden tonight?

Whilst I realise this isn't relevant to the Volvo owning classes, fackin' Norvern Monkeys or the hill dwelling people that form the majority of Autoshite, I wondered if any of the Shandy drinking massive will be either showing their tat or just having a look ?

The fact it's free and has a pretty eclectic display of over a 1000 cars, bikes ,lorries, buses etc mean I usually spend a couple of pleasant hours wandering the common and wondered if I was likely to see any famous AS cars.

Always a great show. I used to live in Harpenden during the week for work...descending from the mist swept bleak hills of haggis munching wild Volvos to work in the shandy shipping lace making leotarded south. However the harpenden show was top notch. I demand pikchurs

I will be there in the beige Allegro if the now-traditional breakdown doesn't happen on the way.

In 2012 we broke down on the way there in the Simca, and last year on the way back in the Herald. The Allegro is usually fairly reliable though...

Seth should be there too, in the Hillman I assume.

I MIGHT be there, work dependant. In the Seat of shiteness.

Really disappointed to have missed it this year. Had hoped to take the Humber (as there appeared to be no Sceptre Mk3 representation last year) but it's not going at the moment - and i couldn't even get down as a spectator in the end.

Would love to see a few pics if anyone got any though...

Was a great show, with some cracking Autoshite!  These are the few photos I took:

This Bedford was there 2 years ago, fresh from being dragged out of a barn...

Talbot Tagora!  Amazing condition too.

Someone next to the Tagora couldn't believe I was more interested in it that the 55 plate monstrosity of a Mustang next to it!

This rare Scirocco GTS has been there the last few years

This GSA was stunning, cracking dash!

This was pretty mint

Other notable cars that I didn't get a change to photograph were a lovely beige Allegro (garycox's I assume?), several Rover P5s and P6s, allegedly the oldest Cavalier in the world and a Stanley steam car.

I've only got phone pix, so I'm glad BlackGT's posted that HA pickup, also have to agree about that green GSA it is stunning and a C-mastic for extra shite points.post-17414-0-59860400-1406796770_thumb.jpg

Cordia Turbo was pretty mint.

Nice pics.

I remember that beige Bedford - it looked like a complete basket case. Some good work done there.

You would have been in good company this year, I saw an immaculate yellow estate leaving ,couldn't get a pic, sorry.

Thinking about it,it was probably the one that had a resto thread on here.

Yes, I bet it belonged to maxustaxus who occasionally posts on here. Would have loved to see it in the metal.

Oh well, just need to get myself better organised next year!

I'd be more than happy with a 327, I bet that went like shit off a chrome shovel ,but I'm not sure about the penthouse. As a Corvette man ,were they 'just' Italian 'vettes ?

Sadly work got in the way of this.

They are completely different animals than Corvettes. If they were violins, the Corvettes would be the electric basses.
