More show photos I'm afraid! I had a few hours spare this afternoon so i thought I'd nip along to this.

 

It's just a village show but it's normally very good with a nice mix of commercials as well as the cars which i like, here's a selection of the photos.

 

I spotted this in the car park.

 

 

 

I've been seeing this for years, It's looking a bit tatty now though. 1.6 Diesel smoker!

I past this Cortina later on whilst i was driving my one, we had a wave off.

This Maxi always used to be covered by big boards, it's nice to see the front at last.

 

 

 

Rare Aston Martin of some kind, I can't be arsed to Google the model.

This L200 was minter than mint, 60k on the clock too.

 

 

 

I've known this car 17 years now. It still looks mint.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now this Mk4 2.0 S was special. It's just been restored and had it's first MOT this week. 29000 miles from new too. The owner said it owes my £12000!

Aston's a V8 Zagato Volante.
Great photos, love the Lancia and the Avenger estate.

Did all the Zagatos have those shutters over the headlights?  Can't say I'd ever seen them before.

Another amazing show, I'm in the wrong country (again).

 

I used to have a 2.0S Cortina, it was only car I ever had pinched, the only thing I missed was the Girling Powerstop I'd left in the boot

With this Maxi and the brown one that's just appeared on the tat thread, I'm feeling strangely drawn to the idea of a 1980 1750HLS.  Cortina S is gorgeous although silver woudn't have been my choice (make mine that fabulous/horrible minty green they did for a couple of years).

 

Swallowtail Golf is lovely, and makes a pleasant change that it's not on banded ATS Cups; pity he just couldn't help himself with the lowering stick, though.

Some did, some didn't.  I think the convertibles (sorry, 'Volantes') did, the roofed ones not, but it might be more complicated than that.  If you ask me, the slightly crap, badly fitting shutters are what elevate these into shiter orbit (if not quite shiter budget).

I've never seen an Aston Zagato in the flesh; the idea that one was literally 5 miles from me is quite startling. I didn't even know this event was on. Impressively varied!

 

I was at the Harwich Redoubt Beer Festival, that's my excuse.

I would say beer trumps car shows but yours was in Harwich, in which case I think I got the better deal!
