Kwik Kwestion - ebay selling fees etc

HI!

I have been charged 'final listing fee' for cars which have not sold.

Is there any way of disputing this - I don't want to pay £60 this month for cars which 'sold' but did not. How can I contact this horrible ebay thing and dispute this?

Are these ones that you have "pulled" and sold off eBay?

If so prepare to be dry bummed as eBay changed their T & C a little while back to introduce a FVF for any auctions pulled before their end / cancelled mainly because they have got wise to this.

Far better to pay for an eBay classified ad or get a friend to shil it up and then afterwards lob in a NPB claim to get your FVF back. Your friend would be dry bummed then, and not you.

No, I don't think I have ever pulled an auction. They are bellend non buyers. The auctions have been noted as such, but ebay have billed me anyway.

You need to open none paying twunt disputes, then when they still don't pay go back and close the case to get your fees back. Though knowing evilbay they will charge you £60 now, then put your account in credit by £60 next month. Which is not helpful if you're not selling regular, or don't like lending them £60 for no reason.

Be prepared to lose the VAT, eBay doesn't like refunding you that part of the seller's fee. I'd like to see if we could start a class action against them about this.

£60?? Dont know why people use Ebay to flog cheap cars, it always works out very expensive....

As I said recently Autotrader is £9.99 for cars under a grand, not half as many mongs and I always get plenty of response on there when selling a car.

Sorry Station I know that doesnt help you on this particular occasion.

Yeah as above, non paying bidder dispute will have ebay chase the wankers. If they still dont pay, fees will be refunded.

Classified advert on ebay a couple of hundred quid above what you want. Anyone that wants it will contact you rather than click BIN.  Arrange a view, sell car, cancel listing. No FV fees.

I think ebay have just got a random fee generator in the hope you don't check your bill. I see you DIDN'T sell 3 cars you listed on ebay so you us hmmmmmmm £90? Oh and we're just going to wiz it straight off your credit card so fucking good luck trying to get it back.

Fuck this. I'm closing my ebay account and cancelling the direct debit. It's bad enough getting scammed by council estate scum who can't afford to pay for the cars I sell, but ebay conveniently forgetting I said the winner was a non payer, and then charging me anyway.

They wont refund till theyre given the buyer "a certain amount of days" to make good. But they DO refund in the end.

Its a load of shite, I agree, but youll get your fees "refunded". They just take them first because...................... Well, because people might say "fuck this I'm closing my account" and then they keep them.

Agreed with all above. Ebay will refund the fee but it takes a certain amount of time for them to do whatever it is they want to do.

High time they had some real competition - if Autotrader organised a really good website and offered auction selling as well as classified ads, their name is still big enough for everyone to go there. As it is, I find Autotrader a bit clunky and awkward to use, even compared with Gumtree.

You have to claim a 'final value fee credit' after YOU have closed the 'unpaid item case' EBay won't do anything but keep your money if you don't close the case and claim the fee.... There is also a time limit to make your claim.... Do it a.s.a.p.
