600s are pretty good bangers, often owned by giffer types who take reasonable care of them. I bought this one a couple of years back for the princely sum of £350 and after a service and a few bits & bobs it didn't put a foot wrong for nearly a year.

Snazzy leather interior too. :)

The Honda engined ones seem pretty reliable too. The only tales I heard about them were the usual rear doglegs disintegrating along with the odd suspension bush, and window winders falling apart. They are pretty dull things to own and drive though, and for some reason they don't seem too great on fuel either. I got high 20s out my 618, which wasn't much less than I got out a 3.2 litre Merc.

For true shite points, try and track down one of the early base models with no wood and black plastic bumpers.

I recommend these, ive got a s reg diesel one and I run it on 95 % veg with no loss of power, mines a gsd  with leather, aircon, and sunroof, and plenty of power for towing, the only problems ive had so far the gearstick can go a bit floppy(ive had a couple) but you still can get the gears ok. ian you took a picture of mine at the pride of longbridge
