I think that Audi is actually a Vauxhall Victor.

Not that I've got an anorak or owt, but, I don't think either FD or FE Victors had quarter lights, ie they both had one piece drop windows in front and back doors.

1970's saloons are my specialist subject , when normal kids were smoking and looking at their dad's porn in the shed,I was poring over my ever expanding brochure collection.

I'd even go so far as to say it was a 73 GL based on the fact it has small bumpers and no one would pay out the extra for a vinyl roof on an LS, and the SE I used as an example although having a standard vinyl roof also had rear headrests and a sunroof, oh and only available in light metallic blue or tourquoise

How I ended up such a well adjusted, rounded adult is a complete mystery, even more of a mystery is why I live alone in a bungalow surrounded by boxes of musty brochures with rusty staples. With all my anoraks hanging in colour coded dust covers.

That's really smart looking. Man, Peugeot styling went seriously off the rails after these. They're a really clean design which is aging very well unlike their later monstrosities.

Nice one.

Weirdest thing ever, I saw my first ever peugeot 306 rallye tonight, up in Scotland.

It was white, are they all white?

Mad coincidence though.

The 306 rallye came in 200 white 200 red 100 black and 1 blue

That's a disused/derelict ex-sainsburys supermarket on the banks of the Usk in Newport. about 5 minutes away from me.

That rallye is a handsome car, it looks really nice and box fresh in white

306 looks lovely ! Just make sure you have decent tyres on it and NEVER lift-off mid-bend, otherwise you will need the reflexes of Ari Vatanen to keep it away from the hedge.

Ah, the liftoff oversteer is something to get to grips with.once you do it makes for a much more "sporting" drive.

This is my 5th 306! I started off with a 306 and seem to be finishing with one

These 306 Rallyes are a right hoot, I had a run in one years ago as a passenger and just couldn't believe how fast and well planted it felt as we ripped across the back roads of Dunbartonshire at silly speeds. Well bought. :)

And the white saloon with the black roof is definitely an early 70s Audi 100.
