Spots by Mash - BEEN A WHILE

The Xr2 got rear ended a few years ago, giving them money and a desire to survive, hence the Land Rover. 2a now gone, but an early S3 109 Petrol is being restored as we speak. Ex-Chesterfield Co-Op Dairy support vehicle I think.

Nice shots Mash. :)

That's an early Shuvit on an N plate. The only other I've seen that early was in the Likely Lads film......

Cripes it's been a long time since I posted some spots. I'll get on with a few. Meantime this one amused me at a local show recently. All the staples of a car show in one place - nice and safe!!!

Here's a few recent ones mostly from a couple of shows. Not done too many this year so far and the next big one coincides with my birthday piss up so that ain't happening!!

Pre-war Foden - such a lovely thing:

The guy had just sold this lovely low mileage Clubman - it was back for sale plus another grand at the next show

My Datsun with Ratdat's R16:

Neat little early Yamaha. I'd love a 1960s Jap bike someday:

This Oriion was immaculate:

Bug. They were having a lot of problems getting this back into the Sprinter van - something to do with it having three wheels....

Dingalingalingaling! Watch out, it's Fabian of the Yard. Damn I want this car:

Very tidy Volvo 760. Not impressed by the qulaity of the interior though funnily enough:

Now here's a rarity, only the second Bridgestone bike I've ever seen. Nice that this one has a local Hull registration too:

Sledmere House, East Yorkshire. lovely setting for a car show:

Tidy low mileage Escort LX. Still with dealer plates and stickers. Shit, is 1988 really that long ago???

Can't really tell from this pic but this MG was pretty scruffy and well used, the kind of thing you'd find in the 1960s and all the better for it:

A pair of lovely 1930s cars with local reg numbers, always nice to see stuff that's been in the area all this time:

IMG_6766.jpg

Lovely car and very rare now, this is a Wolseley 15/60 only made 1958 to 61:

Very tidy Montego HL, car shows will never be the same again now that the 80s is a fecking long time ago and I'm really old:

IMG_6751.jpg

Very tidy Cortina but not sure on the wheels. I would like one of these one day:

IMG_6750.jpg

Gilbern Genie - nice car, one of the better specials in my opinion:

Eyecatching Colt 1400. Used to belong to a colleague of mine but I passed up the opportunity to buy. Now recommissioned and in good hands:

You're right about the wheels, they just look wrong. I always liked Crystal Green on the Mk5, ideally with Ghia alloys (illustrated on a Tina in another thread and again with a reservation).

I have CFY 153X! Just the rear number plate, the Lada estate it graced is long gone. FY is a combination from my home town (Southport) as is WM (seen on the antique caravan). LV and TD are close enough to be considered local too, so you've really taken me home with this thread, thank you! CFY now lives on my wall with a bunch of other old plates from my past...
