AnthonyG Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Cheapest insurance for me on this is £320, and that's on a classic policy. Combination of high group car and kept on public road equals high cost.
Jim Bell Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 £320 equals high cost?!?Wish I could insure a v6 for that. trigger 1
sporty-shite Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Swap for rusty Porsche?* Seriously, if anyone fancies a three-way deal, I have the ex Bobthebeard 944 that needs sills. I really don't think I'll get round to doing anything with it anytime soon.
trigger Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 In that case £311.12. Suck on that, losers. KruJoe 1
KruJoe Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Phew! Thanks Trig... I don't have to spend the night wondering how I'm gonna explain this.
DVee8 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Being older has its virtues, out of curiosity i tried compare the market £217.98 with swift cover, even the most was £744.12.
KruJoe Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 John, can you remember how many months are left on that tax disc?
EssDeeWon Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I dare say the 'some tax' has now expired but I could be wrong...

John F Posted July 29, 2014 Author Posted July 29, 2014 I've got no room for another project at the moment (even though a Porsche 944 is an itch I might have to scratch someday...), so I can't help you
KruJoe Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 £320 (whimpers) Because of rules we just made up, if any of us are having it, it's you. That was yesterday morning. Ha ha! Someone, please.
EssDeeWon Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 *Everyone stops and looks at Manbearbig* *The place falls silent, you can hear a pin drop* *Will He, Wont He?*
John F Posted July 29, 2014 Author Posted July 29, 2014 I thought you were going to have a look at this, Manbearpig? Offer him £450, he'll probably take it
Manbearpig Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Well, with the best of luck I'm going there tomorrow as it's vaguely on the way to my ultimate destination.Spoke to the *actual seller a few days ago, who was blissfully unaware of this "auction" and I'm not sure the "winning" bid would cut much meat with him! So we'll see what occurs. Just what I need, another old monster the missus can whine about at the petrol station. loserone, eddyramrod and EssDeeWon 3
Manbearpig Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Phoned up on the way there this morning to be told it sold yesterday, presumably to an "auction sniper" . Methinks the publicity of this thread may have helped put some haste in someones heels, anyone going to own up? Never mind, at least this has helped make my mind up that one of these beasties will deffo be the next wheels. My missus soothed any disappointment by reminding me that as I'm such a dithering bastard that means I'm halfway there And as for the sniper, as King Leonides said, "May you live forever"
KruJoe Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 LOLz, you can breather now! (It wasn't me by the way.)
John F Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 Awwww damn, I'd hoped it would sell to a shiter. Never mind. Less dithering next time, eh?
