A different kettle of fish to the SRN6 that ran between Southsea and the IoW (found a b&w of that and been on it as well).

All Saunders Roe/BHC though, same designers and forging a path in new technology; the SRN5/6 was the most successful 1st gen hovercraft, Bell licence-built them and they were used in the Mekong delta by sneakybeaky types. The noise kinda spoilt the surprise.
