Ferguson R5?

Very good. It's an interesting story if you google it. Very 1960s body-styling.

Always gives me that "What if . . . ." feeling.

A Renner 16 4X4 in the mid 1960s?

I’ve been meaning to get In to the Coventry Motor Museums reserve collection where both survive and prod at them a bit more. They’re not that keen on letting folk see what they’ve got though, which is a shame as they have quite a collection of automotive dead ends that, as far as I can tell, never have been on display anywhere.

An earlier Ferguson 4X4 worth checking out too.DRdIEOe.jpg

Coventry has that one as well. At least that one is on display, albeit badly interpreted. (I’m not a fan of Coventry’s curatorial direction of late)

Always thought the cowboy fella had a slight facial resemblance to Leonardo di Caprio.

They had an open day there about six or seven years ago which was fascinating but I wish I'd taken more photographs. Coventry Corporation Daimlers to get you there from the city centre too!

Aye, they haven't had an open day for a while now/ I've just looked on their site and they say they'll open it up for large groups. I might fire an e-mail off next week to see what's what. Anyone else interested in going? If so, I'll do a proper thread.

I like the last-minute attitude towards the provision of headlamps.

Another one of that little sportscar thing.

The glazing sponsored and supplied by a conservatory manufacturer. Possibly.
