Phonebox pic reminds me of this film from 1972, 'La Cabina'. It's about 35 minutes.

Thanks, I've just watched it. Compelling.

The Moskie pic was from a few miles north of Huntly, I have more exact location but as it's a private house, . . etc. PM me if you really want to know.

This one, Turriff. Dunlop alloys.

Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire. That's only a Marina TC :-)

DVLA says EVD 405K was 'green'. Which means 'that' green. Top effort.

Walk along the street in the same village and there's another of those TC thingies. Vinyl roof too. And reversing lamps.

Note differences in shape of Mini bodyshell between 65 and 76 versions.

Not much different, the TSB's fucked off though.

Are you certain that's 1980 ? The Granada looks as if it's got wrap around bumper ends, could be a trick of the light though.

Daimler Dart prototype I think. This was designed by Jack Wickes. Toned down for the finished car. But not much. This seems to be in a styling studio you can just see the turntable. As a company they really were out of touch by then.

Early 50's Daimler Regency prototype - looks like its being in process of being modelled. Front end is more successful than the finished car - the extra creasing at the top of the front end looks less frumpy than the finished car? Looks like the Barker bodied convertible front with new architecture added at the rear.

Daimler Conquest production line. Dear old Daimler where did it all go wrong? This is probably their Radford factory in Coventry - now all gone, it is a housing estate now.

Packard like Daimler were an exemplar of engineering excellence - for them it also went wrong they were gone by the end of the 50's.

1973 oil crisis. Note the Corniche Coupe. Odds on that is the only surviving car here. 420G no longer with us. Given the ritzy nature of the motas I would guess this is London.

Dr.Crippen takes his wife to the seaside.

More likely Ethel Neve. He was the first criminal apprehended by means of radio communication

1919 Daimler railcar. Petrol-electric twin engine prototype. Leaning out the window is S H Shellard engineer who worked for Daimler until the 1960's.

^ Love it. The engineers from a century ago, if they could look down on us now, would surely be shaking their heads at our progress*.

Here's the Jag from the Leatherslade Farm pic at Bengeo Bridge.

From the number it was a local car. Presumably a pretty senior officer's , if not the Chief Constables.

What is also interesting about the picture is that the GTR took place whilst work was going on to electrify the line, see the new gantry to the left.

Jaguar's reskin of SP250 Daimler 1962? This is taken out the back of either the Browns Lane or Radford factories?

Michelotti Daimler 1955.

That really is gopping.

Monte Carlo or bust in a Daimler Limo 1951 I think. The photograph is taken outside Hooper's works at Acton in N. London. Not sure who entered the car - a priviteer or maybe Hooper. LRW376 no longer with us I think.

Daimler Velox mock-up. I think this was done without GM's knowledge. There is a replica about.

In house announcement of new Daimler Regency - the production car was sold with simplified front wings. What a torrid decade for Daimler in the 50's whilst they tried to keep up with a rapidly changing world and what other manufacturers were doing.
