Anyone bought from Rock Auto dot co dot uk?

As Rockauto.co.uk seems to be the only place in the entire planet with a temperature sender switch for my Horizon (said switch is completely missing for some reason) I want to purchase from them.

However Google Chrome is showing a warning when I go to "check out" as it takes me to the .com domain!

Has anyone any experience of them and can vouch for their reliability and safety? They seem to hold quite a few "classic" car parts in stock. I am sure it is legitimate but just making sure!

Many thanks,

Pete

I have often used the US site, Rockauto.com are legit, good prices.

Can't believe you have to go to the states to get one of those. What you need is a (admittedly now rare) local spark plug shop with some old boy behind the counter who knows how to interrogate the old paper parts catalogues properly. Its bound to have the same sensor as shitloads of other old motors, just a question of finding out which ones. Have you asked that Speedy Spares lot?

Yep bought some parts from them a couple of months ago, half the price of over here and delivered to the door within 3 days with no extra duty or anything. Was pretty impressed. I bought from the .com site but makes no odds!

Okay that's great, thanks guys.

I hadn't thought of speedy spares will try them tomorrow and also just remembered there is an old school motoring shop in Langley Green so will give them a try.

There's an old school factors on the road from Cradley Heath to Colleygate too. It's on the hill just down from the chip shop, can't remember what it's called though. Could be worth a try as it seems from a bygone age just from the front!

another vote for Rockauto here, never had a problem with them. you need to be  bit canny about how their site works but other than that, no issues

The old fashioned motoring shop (Bastables in Langley Green) has one in a box in his store at the back of the shop so job jobbed.

Must try them first in future.

Thanks again for all the help.
