Auto related signs from the past still on display

On the way back from Gawsworth on Sunday, right in the middle of I have no idea where, Watagong pointed out a Ford dealership that must serve as a money laundry for some mafia, considering how remote it is, that still has some ancient Ford signs up. Since he can usually be found behind his camera, I bet he has photographic evidence. The place is so far back in the woods, they don't see the sun until noon, I swear. There is a Llama farm nearby, for heavens sake.

 

That will be this place with my Escort parked outside.

There was a Roots garage in Biggar on the A702 that until a few years ago had its yellow Roots/Hillman signs up.......redeveloped now I think.

There used to be a DC Cook Fiat bridge over Ashton Old Road going into Manchester next to the respective dealer... the dealer's gone, and half the bridge was painted over. Not the other half though...

Not road related but there's a Regional Railways sign still up in Manchester Victoria... I just hope it doesn't get taken down in the refurbishment.

Passed by this place at the weekend. It no longer sells cars, instead food and beer but they're not allowed to tear the buildings down now.

I think that was Stephens of Biggar. It was all shut up last time I passed.
