Citroen BX TXD Turbo £400

Posted (edited)

Good Evening all.

Selling ex dollywobbler and Gareth-J Citroen BX.
I will upload pictures a little later, but first i will bore you with the details.

1.7 XUD Turbo, this has a Lucas pump - So not Veg friendly.
Has had all new spheres, which are still within the three year warranty.
New N/s driveshaft
Serviced a good few times, as i have clocked up rather a lot of miles in the old girl.
Tax 30/9/14
MOT */8/14  - This i have to check

The not so good bits:
Small LHM dribble at the front (was like this when Dollywobber and gareth owned it, has got no worse, and if i get time will sort it out - Part is in boot)

Small amount of bubbling on the O/s rear door and the usual Minimad5 Motor lacquer peel on bonnet.

It starts, drives and stops as it should

Looking for £500* or very near offer (No swaps, as found a car i really want local, so this has to go)

Location: Wirral
Will deliver for cost of Diesel and return train ticket, if you are not too far away.

Thanks

Was a nice motor this. Was a bit shite when I got it (needed rear arm bearings which it had in my ownership), but I sorted it out and then stupidly sold it because I wanted a tow bar. Presumably it's still got the Chinese remote central locking kit I fitted to it?

Glad you got all the work done, as it drives great, even better with the new spheres may i add.

Yep still got the remote central locking.

Incidentally, the roof bars in the original ad are still available if anyone wants them. They're no good for the estate.

I can confirm that the pedal box and injection pump are working on this BX.

Even though I drove it and it used to belong to Wollydobbler.

DollyWobs, I think the boss might have a pair of estate roof bars at work should you ever decide you want some.

So you've killed it then?

I used this for a few weeks and it drove spot on.

Did it have any fuel left in the tank when you gave it back?

Anyway ! bringing the thread back to the intended purpose.
I left work today, and upon leaving the last speed bump heard a knock from the front N/s, i shall be investigating what the noise is tomorrow, but if i don't get it sorted in the mean time, price shall be greatly reduced.

Will update tomorrow with findings.

ARB drop link would be my first port of call. Cheap fix but they often cause knocking noises.

Thanks for the heads up Ian !
I changed both Track Rod Ends today, and the knock is still present.
I shall try the ARB drop links (if it doesn't sell beforehand)

Up for £400 with knock, back to £500 if i get it sorted.

I noticed today, while hosing bird crap etc off, that the rear wiper is 'foobared'

So i bought one today and popped it in the boot, I’ll let you fit it.
