You're right, dundee is a shit hole, but I'm in a wee car club and we've taken a stand there so I'll have to go. Not been before and it might be crap but hey ho.

It won't matter which Sunday you choose as there'll be something else on somewhere. Take lots of pictures 'cause it looks an interesting place.

Seeing as I couldn't make it to shitefest, I had my own Scottish version today with more cars and less people!

Are the skeletal remains of that Renault 6 still there?  Looks like it has a spare headlight and good grille, may be of use for the 6 in Wales.

Is my mate that does the cheap resprays. He's really good IMO.. give me a shout if you're up this way.

Bump, need a list of people who'd be up for this. The Fiat Panda club recently did this so there's no reason we can't organize something. A weekend/night camping, a visit to the graveyard and a run around the scenic roads of Perthshire in a bunch of old shitty cars.

The date isn't set in stone and it won't cost anything apart from camping and fuel. If anyone can think of any better dates in August to do this let me know.

Dundee is a dreadful place. I quite like it.

Still hoping to attend this but it depends on skintness.

This is still going ahead, no camping, just a sunday run in a bunch of old cars...

Might come along, depending on work. Nice part of the country to go for a potter.

I'll keep an eye on the FB bit.

If it's anything like the Retroshite meets, 1100-1300 is the meet up time. As to location, I'm not sure either. The map just shows me Pitlochry, which doesn't look like that field of dead cars...

I'm not good with facebook but it says 10am

I'll not be going 'cause I'm going to the inaugural dundee motor show. It's being organised by the cooncil so should be awesome*

I think the thinking behind the cut off date is that quite often brand new fiestas and corsas turn up to the meets, and I suspect putting that there just applies to the facebook page as there's quite a lot of people on there who don't seem to understand what shite is/own modern cars only.

Meet at 1pm somewhere in pitlochry, stay there for half an hour then depart, have a nice drive along the scenic roads of Perthshire before arriving at a field full of rusty shite. I'm deliberately being vague about the location because i wanted to put off any Facebook mongs, i suspect pitlochry alone is enough to put most people off, also i said pre 94 to discourage people turning up in modern crap etc. I had initially said i wouldn't advertise it on Facebook but i thought the likelihood of anyone from this forum actually turning up would be slim.

let me think of a suitable meeting point and I'll update this asap. Everyone from the forum is welcome no matter what age of car they bring...

How very spooky. One of the saab lads has invited me to his wedding on sat night. You guessed it, in Pitlochry. I was planning on taking my 92 saab and have booked a hotel on the sat night. Hopefully will be there.

Don't think I'll be along after all. I've a wedding to go to on Saturday, so Sunday might not be a good day for anything.

Might toddle over to Baxter Park, if I'm capable.

Don't suppose a 2013 Volvo would be welcome. Off to the bike show at Ingelston instead.

See you guys there at 1pm

And yes I'm a complete fucking hypocrite because I'll be taking my 1996 Proton.
