Best (cheapest) place to have numberplates made.

Hi all,

 

I need a new set of plates for the XM, the rear one especially, is completely borked, 

 

I had used someone on e.bay who did a really good pair for about £9 delivered, but they seem to have stopped doing them. All the other sellers seem to be about £15 for a pair. Recently I ordered a single one from ebay and it was shit.

 

Anybody know to a decent supplier?

Surely your local motor factor would do singles and you get it in your hand straight away, not waiting for ebay snail delivery

 

Not wanting to teach grandma to suck eggs etc. Just curious that you'd turn to ebay for something simple like a single number plate.

I got a couple of these made up last year and happy with the quality. DMB(?) plates seem to get a mention on here too.

I've found ebay to be cheaper than motor factors, plus they turn up the next day.

And you don't need to mess about with any of that log book/photo I.D bollocks either.

Last plate I brought was for a bike off this guy who does a pair for cars but seems to be over buget at £18.

Mine was good quality and turned up the next day.

where several stalls make up single plates for £5 (prices may vary) without the tiny postcode or having to produce V5 and passport.

 

They will also do "FUCKWIT" as a plate if you feel the need to adorn someone else's vehicle.
