Hiya, glad to be a part of the community, i've owned so many retro cars and can't believe it's taken me this long to get on board, i've joined initially to sell my car, but i'll be happy to help out anyone who needs info on (mainly japanese) cars of the 80's, etc. :)

Anyways, here goes....

This Honda i have had for 2 years now...done 27k in it, it now has 67k on the clock, i am the second owner.

Mot till September, Tax till end of February.

Runs mechanically superb with no faults, i guarantee it.

Every instrument works, as does all doors/windows with the one key, and i have a spare.

Inside, the front is nice and clean, the back has been used a bit for tools, etc, so a wee bit grotty. I do not smoke, and this car has never been smoked in.

It passed last mot first time, it drives extremely well, any test will prove this.

The front 2 tyres are as near to new as you can get, the back 2 are excellent also.

Exterior is not close to good, the lacquer is peeling on bonnet/roof/boot. Rust wise, not terrible, that said, the arches are starting to go at the rear, the front are still fine. The underside is solid and in great condition, save the sills, but this car has years left in her.

THE MAIN REASON FOR SALE: I have an lpg replacement on a "c" plate, and here's the bit that might put some people off...it got broken into (already replaced glass) and they tried, and failed to steal it, but damaged the ignition switch and under steering column. I now have a workaround which allows the car to be started and driven, and have done this for 2 months now. Was going to fix, quite simple really, but the perfect car came up!

Have it insured on classic insurance, but will remove this soon.

Lastly, i am in Edinburgh, and am asking £600 or nearest for it, thanks to all! :)

Amazing interior!!

What is a that cube thing on the dashboard? It looks familiar.

I believe it's a box of tissues. The brown and beige combo can have an alarming effect on passengers.

Entirely correct on the tissues! Hayfever can be a bugger, may as well make the most of it.

The ONLY good thing about modern cars is that they come equipped with penis beakers, so no need to blow your wad on tissues.

Of absolutely no use whatsoever to this thread, but this is a pic of my old Accord Aeodeck.

2.0 litre auto.

I loved it, the wife hated it.

So reliable.

Decided now to keep it, as another thread has suggested, a useable daily classic (which to be entitery honest i might very well run right into the ground) is better than the alternative. I want to keep the replacement, but my street has now demonstrated it's ability to destroy any car, and i've had 6 previous motors hit in the last 6 years, so have now put lpg Audi 80 up for sale. When i finally move house to a place with a garage, THEN i an own a nice car, but not for now. And the Honda does still drive A1!! :)

Brilliant car, looks pretty grim. One of my mates went and bought one of these on behalf of a collector in America:

The interior also looks like a Caramac explosion. It's now with its collector owner in LA.

Tetleysmoooooth: We need to see some pictures, please, of that Silver/Green E34 5-series.

Wow, so Audi finished at £500 below what i paid for it only just over a week ago. Anybody have an idea why? I really liked the c playte Honda, nice post and great to see a mint version of my car. Seems there are a lot of timewaster on Ebay, anyone else had the same experience? :)

That's my favourite Honda Accord. Extremely stylish but understated - I'd love one of these - the Estate must make it a very practical car.

How come you listed again straight way did the seller back out straight away or did you not want to let it go cheap?

I think at this end of the market it's right person right time. I was tempted at £500!!

Potential buyer had informed me of their intent not to buy car, less than 12 hours before the end....can't take their bid off after that!

In any case, a godsend, as it went for practically half what i purchased it for, can't afford to let it go for that anyways, and get this, it's already sitting at more than what i went for originally. Unbelievable!!! :)

Brings back many happy memories of my first car - OK, it was actually Dad's car and I was on his policy, but then he bought a Renault 9 Biarritz and let me 'have' the Accord. Silver, with blue interior and a full-length Webasto, which leaked like a sieve. Before passing it on to me, he (badly) glued blue vinyl across the whole roof and C-pillars, and brush-painted a Hammerite tide-mark. That car took me thousands of miles, to college, my first proper job, and some awesome parties, before finally succumbing to tin-worm at just under 200k - the engine and gearbox were still practically like new.
