If you had a 20p stuck in the handbrake it would have shifted alot quicker.

4 fucking days, that's not even enough to finish crafting the story to the missus...

@£395 this would of flew out on Scumtree if he could of been arsed to make a decent advert with nice pictures. Waste of a serviceable car.

Are we still talking about this bloody Peugeot? :-P

And it may be the booze, but "Scumtree" keeps making me giggle.

I love to shake the Gumtree and see what lovely fruits fall my way!

It is (was...) a mid-size mid-market grey-porridge Pujo.  Ergo, per DA AUTOSHITE ROOLZ, we must discuss such ad nauseam at every possible opportunity.  Because one day, we WILL get that 20p out of the handbrake...

This car and the two threads dedicated to it are rapidly becoming the AS version of the ebay white 405. That's not a good thing either. Oh well, at least the seller won't be advertising anything else on here and will in future stick to eBay.

But that means ANOTHER 15 year old euro box may be lost to humanity!

What if he gets another late 90s car and weighs it in without putting it on here because of our thread.

We will all have to bear that responsibility for the rest of our lives

Vying away from the sarcasm for a second...the truth is that if you advertise a car too cheaply and with scant description and detail...your as likely to get as poor a response as if you do overpricing one.....common perception will prevail as to the car being a very cheap abused heap and not worth bothering with. If it was up for at least 400 quid a with tidy description and for longer than 3 days it probably found a happy new owner.

I really don't want my granchildren to grow up in world without 406s. I shall make myself infertile by slamming the door on my testicles several times.

Proof of the pudding recently, the outlaws were selling a Pugrat 100cc scooter on evilbay, single line ad, with the bare bones, and a high price, no sniffs. I did a full on re-work, with full details and the usual spiel, lopped £25 off the price, 3 days later, phone call, then viewed, test rode & sold! Happy days!

This^^^^,

I find with advertising chod on ebay, the cheaper the car, the more detail you need as folk seem even keener to knock £££££'s off something that is only £300, 'Give you £150 tonite, its got no road tax'....snooze

Jokers....

Most of us like this site because we have an appreciation of old unfashionable cars, and I suspect, because none of us have money falling out of our arses.

Bad time of the year to sell, no tax, 2.0 petrol means even at that money you will struggle to shift it.

I always think that when a deal is lost over the road fund licence, it tells you that the cretin who was showing an interest almost certainly had no insurance, and no intention of getting any.

It's nobody's fault that it did'nt sell.
