Micrashed Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 God almighty I had forgotten about this. Sorry.Plan B I think - the house with both cars. BRB, VA.
vulgalour Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 I should have chased you up... I'm just about back on track again lately so... yeah.
vulgalour Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 Here's another for your delectation, a 1959 Chevrolet Impala with bonus Impalas (can be removed, if required) in the foreground. Background can be changed completely on this one at no extra cost. £7 As is£15 Inked£25 Ink and Colour£35 Watercolour only eddyramrod and fordperv 2
vulgalour Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 Got a bit of insomnia going on so I put it to good use and experimented with an inking method I've toyed with in the past, turned out fairly well this time around. Modified hearses are not going to be to everyone's taste, but I did this far more for me than for any sort of popularity vote. £10 posted, if you'd like it for your very own. Too much sentimental value, no longer for sale. fordperv, phil_lihp and eddyramrod 3
MikeKnight Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Whoa, I really like that technique! Makes it "pop". I think it suits your art style very well, too.
vulgalour Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 I can, though I haven't any examples as my last request for a person portrait was back in 2009. There's also the Bubblecars lady if you go back a few pages for an idea of what I can do now.
vulgalour Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 Been a while since I updated here, but I'm catching up again and I have a few pieces that will be appearing here over the next few weeks. I'm cancelling Suggestion Friday until I'm properly caught up and resettled. I like making artwork for people that has a bit of a story behind it, makes it more enjoyable than plain portraits. That's part of what made this piece for Micrashed enjoyable, that and him being a thoroughly good egg putting up with my delays while my world got tipped upside down recently. Enjoy the Nineties vibe with this image of surburban bliss. michael t, Micrashed and Angrydicky 3
Micrashed Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Its changed a bit since 95. The garage is now a bedroom for sprog number 1 (2 and 3 sleep upstairs). Many thanks and dont be rushing with that other one.
vulgalour Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 Further estate agent shenanigans means I need to do something about fundraising yet again! Not happy but there we go. I'm offering a maximum of 5 ink-and-watercolour images with a 50% discount for anyone that might be interested in this sort of thing. I need to raise about £100 by the end of the week if I'm to comfortably meet the extra costs incurred and this, seemingly, is the only way I can work out to do it. Just one minor little caveat: I can't start work on these special-rate commissions until after I've moved, which will hopefully be no later than the end of this week, though I don't hold my breath with the current estate agent.
Micrashed Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Aye.Go on for that price I'll have another then VA. A variation on the theme, so it wont be a mahoosive challenge ( you could even trace the other one for most bits....)
vulgalour Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 Do I need to re-send e-mail and payment details to you? No worries if so, I'll just buzz an e-mail off.
Micrashed Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 No, I have them - Im just at work at the mo so will sort it out when I get home later.
Cavcraft Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I'm well out of the loop here obviously, but I though you'd a had a fire auction and moved house now with what you raised?
vulgalour Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 @MrBenn: PM me your e-mail and I'll send you some details. @Corsaviour: All was good... then the process dragged on and living here is just destroying me financially since Mum died so I've had to do the whole fugging thing again. Some progress has been made with the estate agents, they changed it to Let Agreed on their website, but we're still chasing them daily and still doing their fugging job for them while we wait for a date. I am mostly very cross and could do without it all tbh. Cavcraft 1
vulgalour Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 And just so we all know what's what. 1 - Tayne - Paid2 - Micrashed - Payment pending3 - MrBenn - Payment pending4 - AVAILABLE5 - AVAILABLE
bub2006 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 May i enquire why you requested a photo of my bike angyl? Don't recall hearing anymore since you asked for a photo. Top artistic skills by the way.
vulgalour Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 I had this idea for a Bow Wow Wow picture featuring three scooters... it didn't work as well on paper as it did in my head first time around. I'm going to give it another go at some point though.
Minimad5 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Would love to see a sketch of a Lada Riva on Lancia Beta Montecarlo alloys. If the sketch looks as good as the others, i may invest some 'coin' for a nice quality ink / watercolour
vulgalour Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 I can assure you a sketch would look as good as any other picture I've done, that's what the thread is about. Haven't got the time to be making stuff on-spec at the moment, the books are nearly bursting at the seams after the recent burst of commissions taken on both regular and discount. Maybe in the future I'll do a Riva, but not right now, not unless it's paid for, and even then not until after I've moved house. Minimad5 1
vulgalour Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 Tayne, Micrashed and MrBenn all secured slots on what is possibly the shortest sale in the history of ever before the income required materialised from an ultra generous source which shall remain unidentified unless they wish to out themselves. Suffice to say, the forum and its members continue to be surpremely generous, I can only hope that I repay such generosity somehow, I imagine I must for it to be offered in the first place.
Micrashed Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Paypal Ahoy! Now that I have finally got home from the pit of darkness that is work.
vulgalour Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 *just* received it. With more thanks. While this does a fantastic job of restoring my faith in humanity, it'll only take one drive to a supermarket to DESTROY it.
vulgalour Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 Right, it's been a while but here I am with a fresh update in the form of this commissioned piece of a Wolseley 18-22. It really is, don't be fooled by the 'incorrect' grille and bonnet. This particular car was the badge and styling mule so it wore different faces and badges and is presently in it's most recent incarnation and how it's been for quite some time. Gorgeous thing it is, very well pampered, and deliciously orange. Jim Bergerac, Wilko220, Micrashed and 7 others 10
Mr_Bo11ox Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Philosophical question: The drawing is of a Wolseley 18-22 but the wolseley-specific identifying features are not there. Therefore how can I be really sure that its not a drawing of an ordinary Princess being touted as a drawing of a Woolus?? Not that I am suggesting you would attempt such below-the-belt tactics Vulg. Wilko220 1
vulgalour Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 There's a Wolseley badge on the grille, Wolseley script on the C pillar and red centre caps on the wheel trims, all key identifying features.... but they're so small you'll likely have to take my word for it.
