R.E Volvos with sagging headlings. My mates Mum had one, and the headlining just got torn off after undue saggage. The foam left in place was great to play noughts and crosses on

Yep, Range Rover Classics are well known for this and when the lining comes down it's impossible to find a glue that will stick it back on properly. My brother was driving mine at speed with the windows down and the whole lot came away causing much trouser fillage.

 

To sort it properly you have to remove the whole lot and do it proper.

 

I got all half-arsed with my Rangie and pulled the headlining board out completely. It's amazing what a difference the headliner makes to in-car temperatures during summer. It was hotter than a big bag of hot things.

I nominate Mk2 Golfs onto the list too. Mine was hanging like my knackers on a hot day. Had to replace the whole thing. Germany might be better at football than us, but when it comes to a headlining, nah!!!!

I used bamboo sticks across the roof on my old Saabs. Cost pennies, took seconds, permanent repair. Whats not too like?

Too right. It has a considerable squarage of tin roof and conducts heat like a randy spaniel. In the autum you also get beads of water drippn' down your neck.
