He claims is was running a 2.1 Bedford van lump?

I loved it as a nipper. Think it cost him £50. Tragically killed by a yuppie in a Porsche.

Very nice, even with those bloody awful sun roofs

Think it was a DIY job.

Was the "in thing" at the time.

Love the low front spoiler. Very 'early 80s' WINNA.

If only people were driving things like this these days.

It's nice, rostyle wheels and vinyl roofs FTW. You must have really loved it to get all those pic back in those days with having to develop them and what have you.

CF petrol engines were either 2.0 or 2.3, so would say it was probably running a CF 2.3 lump

You've got about 2.9 weeks to get that bottom picture in the calendar thread. Do it. Please.

I was thinking you meant this sort of Magnum.

Thats a Smith and Wesson model 29.

Magnum is the name of a round.

.44 and 357 I think.

Though that looks like a 357.

Nice pics.

It's a shame there aren't more from this era, but in those days you couldn't just whip out a phone and snap away.

Taking a photo was alomst an event, usually reserved for holidays or family celebrations.

I always wish my mum and dad had taken more photos of wur cars, but the only ones I can find are usually parts of cars in the background of family shots.

Lovely photos Mr Seavers...I always appreciate these period shots.   To belabour the Magnum simile its all too easy these days to pepper the internet with rapid-fire shots of stuff but you had to stalk your prey, take careful aim and wait for the results back then.   And no matter what sunroofery or spoilerage took place at least motors then had decent tyre profiles and proper number plates.   Oh yes, this is top shelf stuff without a doubt.....Got any more  under the counter?
