I still don't know and I spent ages looking at one.

They have a minor CLASS connection though, they were also available as a Roewe.

What the actual fuck is a Songyoung Kyrie eleison ???

Do you remember the stickers Fiat put on the Multipla at launch: "Wait till you see the front"?  Sshitschlong recycled the idea, as well as many discordant styling cues from a variety of unusual sources.  The Kyron is not only a MINGAAAAAH, it has a bloody stupid randomly-generated name.

In other news, I fail - again - to stay away from unexpectedly expensive Mercs...

Great day today, and I actually won a game!

I am also debating whether to adopt a new name: Baron Von Sterling, Lord Haw_Haw, Herr Sterling etc... seeing as I now drive a Panzer E280.

Some pics:

We all had "heart attack special" burgers today.

Laughable boy-racer special Focus, it never went through the auction room.

Christ. I'm glad I slept through my alarm this morning - that ZT would have come home with me.

NOMZ.  Worth going just for these.  And watching FPB7 tying his hands into his pockets due to having dangerously useful 'available funds'.*

:)

* Not if Andrea has anything to do with it...

I did see FPB7 looking at some cars a little more closely than usual and seemingly having a debate in his mind on whether or not it is a good idea to buy something...

Posted

It wasn't my mind I was talking to. It's the virtual Andria implanted into my head on marriage.

The answer is always, no.

Posted

I may have to go to the next one, seeing as it's just down the road.

Such as it is...

0900-1030: meet at Greasy Lil's on the A5.  Eat heartstoppers of varying descriptions.  Mutual chod admiration* in car park.

1030-1300ish: mosey in loose convoy to auction.  Laugh at desperate rammel.  Enjoy auctioneer's extensive* knowledge of late C20/early C21 shite.  Inhale diesel particulates.  Eat BFO deathburgers.  Go home happy, so far in same car...

I'll be there, most likely along with Small_Pillock_Replica as he's not ruddy shut up about the last visit yet :)

Although this time I get to choose whether it's roof up or down. And the rules are, down.

Ooohh tempting. Having attended the Brightwells sale today, it would be appropriate to experience the other end of the market.

The Allegro at £350 was value though, was very straight. The minty fresh early Austin 1100 was the car of the day for me, and well worth the £3100, which is strong money for an 'ordinary' ADO16.

There was a lovely '72 Rover 3500S which was value at £3500, as well, only needed a new vinyl roof to make a condition 1 car.

If anybody wants an rtf of the Autoshite Auction Game forms for printing and distribution on Saturday then PM me.

Chaseracer now has the files to do the forms.

In a whiff of optimism unfit for someone with my level of experience, I daresay Daihatsu appearance can be reckoned with.

I have the auction fun sheets from Julian.  Modifications to gameplay are not unlikely...  ;)

Posted

Right, Merc is up on the ramps having new spheres fitted. I'm sitting here like an expectant father waiting for the results on whether they'll actually finish before closing time, so at the moment there is a question mark over whether I'll be joining the CANNOK MASSIV to point/laugh and try not buy any auction cack, even by mistake...
