Shite lurker - finally joined. Mostly Volvo content

Hi all,

 

Well I've been a lurker for some time - a bit of Autoshite is my guilty pleasure... I currently have a Volvo 360 GLT and a boring modern Volvo for daily duties, but I have had some 'shite' over the years which I thought may interest some... pics do the talking! There are others in between, but I've deemed them probably not shite worthy. I'll also have to dig out some pics of my parents cars from the past, the interesting ranging from a first gen Civic to FSO Polonez's

 

 

1988 Volvo 360 GLT

 

1989 Peugeot 405 GR 1.6 (Pre-cat, went really well for a 1.6)

 

1987 Volvo 360 GLT

 

1993 Volvo 944 Wentworth (2 coils chopped off springs, Nankangs and locker diff meant it went sideways all the time...)

 

1982 Volvo 343DL

 

1984 Volvo 360 GLS

 

1989 Volvo 360 GLT (Currently own)

 

I'll add some more when I can find some pictures, but upcoming will be so me pictures of my old 1991 Skoda Favorit LS Estate, 1994 Favorit LXi and I'll see if I can dig out some pictures of the FSO's

The yellow 343 got exported to North America, where it's owned by one of the Daf Club USA members - still going strong!

Haha correct! Small world... although now live in Coventry. Do you still have it?

 

The FSO pictures may be doable, I have one somewhere when it got rear ended by a Mk1 Fiesta (shows how strong the FSO's were!). We had a 1985 B plate Polonez (without rear window) and followed by an 88 'Facelifted' one. Judging by some of the threads on here there are some FSO fans on here!

Nah, I sold it years ago to someone on the Volvo forum. I think it's being used for drag racing now, although it could have been scrapped I suppose.

Welcome along. I love the yellow 343! Your current 3 is also superb looking! Old man_L had a 340GL which lasted 20 years according to the DVLA!

ProgRocker - glad you like the GLT saloon, it's been my favourite car out of all - I added the wheels, a leather interior and adjustable suspension. Unfortunately the rare factory bodykit was fitted by local dealers and it ended up being rotten underneath because of the poor treatment it had. Perhaps one day I'll find another saloon
