Gentlepersons;

After having a bit of a clear out, I've decided to waste some money on some sort of classic shite.

Preferences are as follows[ in no particular order ]

Fiat 130 coupe

Vauxhall FD Ventora

Rover 110

Wolsey 6/110 or Westminster

Opel Commodore coupe

late seventies/early eighties Yanks

Anything else that tickles my wotsit. I think the above list gives you some idea of what I'm after, any other suggestions welcome. Budget is up to about £8k

For £8K, you can win Autoshite with one of those beauties :

You would even have some money left over, for routine maintenance (manufacturer recommends* sill and floorpan replacement, engine rebuild and wiring loom replacement every 3 months or 3000 miles).

That would deffo make the list, although I've heard that the cambelt can jump a couple of teeth if steering input of more than .000989 degrees is applied before the thing has reached working temperature, which will be 87 miles as the previous owner will have removed the thermostat to disguise the fact that the head gasket is borked...........

Probably not what you're after but I've got a couple of Lancia's I'm thinking about shifting.

Cosmetically challenged Lancia Beta Spider & a nice HPE VX ... both currently road legal. £1300 for the spider £2500 for the HPE.

HPE: http://s87.photobucket.com/user/skattrd/library/Lancia%20HPE

HPE covering well over 1000 miles in first week I had it: http://s87.photobucket.com/user/skattrd/library/Lancia%20HPE/Scotland%20April%202013

How about that Caprice on Leboncoin I posted in the Ebay thread? The '78 is the best of the bunch and they want only 2k roros for it.

Maybe half of 8k UK€ would go a very long way on it, if played smartly.

That would leave ample change for other exploits into the Empire of Shiteness.

My Gamma coupe had had the PAS disconnected completely.  Was perfectly manageable without it.
