Finally managed to join! Have a Samba!

Hi all finally managed to join autoshite, its just my kind of car site, having had lots of funny cars and old chod in my day. To list a few Reliant kitten van, Chrysler 180, Talbot Sunbeam, Solara, four Avengers, MK 1 Escort van that had a mexico engine and Capri struts and lots of rust. Rover SD1 2000cc bet there isn't many of them left. So you can see why I had to join!

I will try and post some pics when I work out how to do it. Its a samba style 1986 last of the Talbot cars. They are based on a Pug 104!

True, there isn't much in shite top trumps that can beat the chrysler 180, except maybe an invicar or a cortina starcraft camper

Hi I swapped a Bedford HA Van for the 180. I wanted to see if they was as bad as was made out. It was a nice drive very comfy. Every one who went in it thought it was good! The main problem was rust. Had to weld a lot of bits up! Best was when driving to work one morning, there was a big bang and then the engine made a noise like an air compressor and was only running on three, it not me to work OK. When I investigated I found one of the plugs had come out but worse the threads in the head had striped. Good shit way to fix few tiny blobs of weld with the might hammer plug back in with a block of wood on the top and a hammer, Car running well again!! Never came out again.

So I liked the Chrysler 180 it was like a big Avenger but was based on a Simca.
