Yesterday I went along to a local classic car show which was near Manningtree in Essex, the weather was lovely which made of a very nice day and there was plenty of old crod to look at, I even got to met RoadworkUK (Chris) from the forum who jumped to the chance to have a play in the Cortina!

Yep, that's rear engined, the owner said he'd take it show it got no attention so he decided to rip the engine out and fit a RS2000 lump, he said it's great in straight lines but pretty bad on the corners!.

It wasn't a bad day, I got sunburned though!, The organiser isn't happy though, someone nicked the alloys of the Astra overnight so they struggled to remove it off the field today.

Is it just me or are always weird, overdone cars at North Essex shows like that Rascal pickup and the Carina with all the stick-on shite?

Excellent coverage Trigmaster General, and nice to finally meet you. I'm definitely up for one of those Shotley meets.

 

I was actually slightly gobsmacked by how much awesomeness there was this year. It was pretty good last year in Lawford, but this time it was massive.

 

That said, actually not as much actual shite as I remember last time around, though the Ital was pretty mega. Did you score that metric fucktonne of old Autocars as planned?
