RichardMoss Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Re: Aleko engines. Wikipedia suggests that they are powered by old Moskvitch petrol engines re-engineered for FWD via an Audi-esque longitudinal installation or by Ford/Peugeot diesels (presumably mounted likewise). The diesels may well be the old nails that used to power Sierras, according to wiki again (and we know that they are never* wrong)
purplebargeken Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I presume the move is motivated in part by some female variety? But how can that be as we clearly lack any kind of photographic evidence to suggest that females exist in Bulgaria. We need concrete evidence of this, otherwise the world will end and all of the kittens will die. Honest they will. Junkman 1
Junkman Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 My initial attempt to ask for some pics of hot Bulgo-chicks was slightly more subtle, but you are definitely right, kittens will die.
chaseracer Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Nuns may well also become involved. This is central Europe, after all.
Bucketeer Posted August 28, 2013 Author Posted August 28, 2013 Okay, I will try harder to include the female populace in the photos, I promise. The nuns and kittens deserve only the best. I've been having naughty dreams since yesterday when I spotted that the pog-pink A Scone has now sprouted a for sale sign. Thank the lord up high that the joker wants 1500 Euro for it, otherwise my wallet would be currently raped to the highest degree. Excuse camera wankiness.
purplebargeken Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Potentially nice car. They don't have T Cut or polish there do they. The kittens tentatively express a small degree of hopefulness, but it may not last. That is all I have to say on the matter.
Bucketeer Posted September 13, 2013 Author Posted September 13, 2013 The kittens are safe for the moment. The second installment of LAYDEEZ OV BULLGAYRIYA WIV CHOD. Some other shite. FOTOSKILLZ 2 DA MAX Don't be shy. The colour of a pineapple but no scene destruction (yet). Don't be shy (part 2). Junkman 1
Mr_Bo11ox Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 This thread DELIVERS when it comes to shite. LOVE IT Junkman 1
RedSparrow Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Did you just ask a random bird to stand next to that truck? (what is it by the way? - looks familiar - Ukranian?) (the truck, not the girl)Well played sir.
purplebargeken Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Kittens have a reprieve and are snuggling down in their blanket. However, one swallow does not a summer make. Junkman 1
Junkman Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 (what is it by the way? - looks familiar - Ukranian?) (the truck, not the girl)Well played sir. Sorry for jumping in. It's a LIAZ-Skoda 706.
RedSparrow Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Sorry for jumping in. It's a LIAZ-Skoda 706. Cheers. I knew I'd seen those trucks over here.
Bucketeer Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 Did you just ask a random bird to stand next to that truck? (what is it by the way? - looks familiar - Ukranian?) (the truck, not the girl)Well played sir. I have to hold my hands up. I cheated a little bit. The girls a couple of pages back, posing with the beige Sierra in part 1 of BULGOCHIXWIVCHOD were random members of public I approached, however part 2 features Miss Bulgateer, who is happy to pose with anything and is also starting to develop a love of the shite. She's even started to point out stuff that I hadn't spotted, the shy bronze Samara being a good example. What have I done to her? I hope the kittens and nuns are still out of danger for now. I promise to work harder to protect their safety.
Junkman Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 I hope the kittens and nuns are still out of danger for now. I promise to work harder to protect their safety. I'd honestly appreciate such doing.
Mr_Bo11ox Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Splendid work there Bucketeer and RESTEPTK to the lovely mrs Bucket for her developing shite sympathies. Sadly EU integration means theres little point in me offering to marry any hot friends she may have who want a UK passport. You are living the dream and giving it 110% at the end of the day its a game of two halves, during which you have pulled out all the stops to grind out a result. Of course the team who scores the most goals after 90 minutes will be the winner etc. scruff 1
ianmac Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Fantastic thread loved every picture, keep up the good work. Oh and can I ask what is the Bulgarian for can I take your picture next to that crappy old car and post it on the internet. Hoping to use that one myself one day PLEASE GOD
Bucketeer Posted September 16, 2013 Author Posted September 16, 2013 Mnogo blagodarya for the kind words.Yesterday I arrived in Plovdiv for a short(ish) visit.I popped out for a little recon work today.New town, new(ish) shite.More to follow (depending on how much of the local alcohol/rocket fuel/poison I drink). I promise Bulgaria isn't as grim as a lot of these photos make it look but all the good shite is situated in the least attractive areas. scruff 1
purplebargeken Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Great shite but the kittens are getting a little anxious again.
Bucketeer Posted September 16, 2013 Author Posted September 16, 2013 Almost forgot, a request from Junkman for yankshite has been answered. It's only taken a couple of months but I found something. Junkman 1

Bucketeer Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 A quick few WINNERZ from the walk to the booze shop today. Least appropriately named vehicles (part 1).Daewoo Racer. Least appropriately named vehicles (part2).Renault Rapid.
Tayne Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Hey Bucketeer, I'm flying to Romania tomorrow and was supposed to rent a car for a trip including Bulgaria. At the last minute the hire company says we can't drive into Bulgaria because of some border issue.Have you heard of this, do we have more likelyhood of driving in via Serbia?
Bucketeer Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 I've just done some extensive* research and I can"t find a problem crossing the the ROM/BUL border by hire car or any other car. I know many people that have hired cars in the Balkans and have travelled all over without issues. I can only presume that maybe your specific hire company is different/misguided/racist/incorrect. The only trouble you could encounter here is going between Serbia and Kosovo as the former doesn't recognise the latter as an actual country. I can do some properly intensive research if required (dependent on tonight's alcohol consumption). Also, let me know if you want any advice/tips/unsubstantiated rumours regarding both Romania and Bulgaria. I have travelled both countries extensively and met hundreds more people who have as well and I can provide some brilliant* ideas where to visit/stay/chod spot/drink etc. And if you want to meet up for a pint or several that would be cool too.
Bucketeer Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 Bulgo/German garden ornament just spotted on the tobacco run.
Bucketeer Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 Currently in Plovdiv. Will be back in Veliko Turnovo (heaven) in a few(ish) days.Nothing is certain though. No plans are the best plans.I hitch-hike around the country regularly and love to see new places, so I can/could be anywhere. It's all good (except Sofia).
Tayne Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Kazanaluk may be as close as I get to you. what's wrong with Sofia?
Bucketeer Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 A week of unexpected beach wild-camping has led to shite withdrawal symptoms (and a stupendous hangover).A stroll around town today has helped arrest the chodancholy somewhat. Trabants are not my cup of chai but they seem to be cropping up everywhere, this picture was all about the Thema love for me. More of them. WIN x 10 WIN x 100
