Last year I decided I wanted a new car. I fancied something that I always envied as a kid that was now a bargain bucket prices. I ended up with my Audi Coupe for £500

I also looked a Calibra's, Corrado's, Saab 900/9000's, Celica's and MR2s (soz Japanese) and a few others that escape my mind. You can get all of them for around £500 if you look hard enough. You may need to get a little oily every now and then but if you run into difficulty the people on the forum will help if you post regularly and don't act a dick (which by your responses suggest you are level headed and will soon pick up the old car thang - no OMG UR ALL WNKRS! when replying to criticism etc*)

You can get one of the 2.0 Audi Coupes for sub £500, good level of kit and GR11 looks (IMO). Or you can creep up to the bigger engines, the 2.3 is meant to be the best overall with a combination of fuel consumption and performance. I hate having money though so went for the 2.6 which drinks fuel like I drink wine.

The possibilities are quite frankly endless. The top(ish) spec cars you car get cheap these days are amazing.

Plus as you have a daily main car classic insurance is not bother to you. You are over 25 (the magic age) so whatever you get will cost sweet FA to insure as a 2nd car.

Good luck and keep an eye on the ebay tat thread.
