Nice work Mr B. Can't wait to see this thing hit the roads of Cambridgeshire, glowing like nuclear fallout!

Good work Mr Spudz. Kept checking RR for an update on this so it's nice to see stuff happening with it!

That scuttle looked horrible! Is it becoming a keeper once you're done with all this work?

Would you believe, the crispy crab is going for its first MOT in about 12 years or something, tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Good luck Mr_B, looks like a lot of hours have been poured into the old crab. That car rocks a phat one :D

Most excellent Mr Nadz, best of British etc....

Top work Knackers.Horrible job that scuttle / dashtop . Well done for not just throwing all out the door when you saw that.Agree with your comment re: how these things drive - a mate of mine had a nice mk1 which I used to have the odd trundle in. Just lovely!Good luck with the test!

Wishin' for a pass here too. Where do you take 'em Mr B? Found out about a classic-friendly place on Fengate recently, but not had chance to test 'em yet.

Best of luck Bollox. Here's hoping for a winter of bouncing round in Hydrolastic bliss. My Innocenti went in for its first test in five years last week - failed on two brake pipes and headlight aim, so should be on the road soon with any luck.

Yup, lodsa luck from up here as well MrB

Good luck. After reading about it both here and RR I really want it to see the road again. And, if it passes, just think - you'll have room for the Alfa 33 Wagon on t'bay. :D

did you source any tyres for it?

They are 165 14s on mine, but I understand some had 13s.

I put a new fan belt on this car last night, gave it a wash, lobbed some pez in then drove it 20 miles this morning to the MOT shed. Its only fuggin PASSED FIRST TIME!!!! Drives well too although the clutch pedal is a bit high.Unbelievable!!! It looks pretty tidy too, the paint match is much better under natural light than it is under garage lights. Next job is to sort the interior out and get a heritage certificate to see if I can have some free tax disc on it.Sady no photos as I have left my camera at home this week.Cheers for all the good luck, it worked!

Obv some heavy polishing mop action is required along with various tinkering jobs, fix speedo, buy/fit carpets, fix fuel gauge and instrument lighting, un-jam heater controls etc, basically repair all non-essential features of the car.

Well done Mr B! Always good to hear another one is back on the road....

Well done! It looks great, are the chrome trims for the headlights going to be re-appearing?
