Autoshite (Christmas) Album of Shite

Can't see this in any of the older topics and I'm thoroughly surprised at such. I may even have to write into the Times.

Anyways, while trundling up and down the A90 all day in my nice* new shiney shiney bus shite, my mind wandered to some of the seriously rubbish car based music I've been listening to recently and I've hit on the idea of doing a Shitemas Compilation of some sorts. All I need is some further suggestions to pad out the collection to create a standard 12 - 15 track CD of pure audio horribleness for trundling about in the autobrick.

To get the ball rolling, I'll pitch my suggestions:

Some mention of Motorways and driving, it's very much of it's time too. I could imagine it blasting out of the tapedeck on a new Sierra...

Sevenforty Car should not feature on any album ever, it is fucking woeful. I'd even say "I am Rolling" and "Some people get all the breaks" would more than suffice. The 960 or 850 T5 songs would fit much better as well as being less offensive on the ears... the 960 one is actually pretty damn good.

Right apologies for my absense on this one. Bloody work doing 6548 hour shifts with 28736512340 runs to Aberdeen a day but I thought I'd bump it back up and post my thoughts.

After listening to the suggestions I've put together the compilation. 16 tracks so it's just over what I would call an album of 15 tracks but seeing as some of the songs are a bit short, well....I'll let that extra track slip in. Also, even I'll admit it's rather Volvo heavy however I think the amount of Audioshite they've come away with over the years justifies it.

Criticism is welcome and I'm still open to edits before I actually go ahead and make a CD / mix tape out of it so here goes...

Somewhere I've got a Renault "Making Tracks" promo CD with that on. It was given away from dealers if you went and showed any interest at all in their cars.

I'd have thought a better cover version for Renault would have been "2, 4, 6, 8, Motorway Hard Shoulder".
