Junkman Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 No. But it was always known who they were. I, however, was arrested, despite being 50 miles away (proven) at the time. I was only released (a very long time later) when it was shown that it couldn't be an Insurance fraud -as there was no insurance. No further action -other than a large Bill from the Council for asbestos removal, & a 3 yr Planning battle to rebuild. Those who know me understand that NO ONE sees my Barns. I broke my own rule and allowed a long term friend (a senior Police Officer) to see this one. He later admitted he told his son, who told his mates - who though a molotov might be fun. We' re not friends any more -and he deliberately avoids all contact. And those shitty weasels who did it? Can't they coincidentally run into a lamp post when you see them walking down the street? Or step in front of a bus? On an entirely different note. There seems to be a trend that all keyers or vandals are stereotyped being those dull juveniles the world is full with today. However, this is not necessarily the case. When a notorious keyer was caught in flagranti by another copper I know, it turned out to be a 50 something nice daddy from the neighborhood.Malicious people come from all walks of live, they can live next door, or in the flat above yours, etc. They greet you and chat with you during the day and torch your car by night.
ruffgeezer Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I don't want to go down what is probably a well traveled route as to why those little cunts haven't had theirs, but I do have a contact with a bunch of obscure french tat should you ever want to replace some that you have lost.
RedSparrow Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Those photos still make me sad/angry and I haven't even met you. Made worse if you know who did it. What a waste.I'm sure a lot of us would love a look at your collection but I totally understand why you don't tell anyone the location.
R9UKE Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 Wow, Nigel. You've kind of put into perspective how stupid I am to get wound up about a key mark, and thank you for that. I can't imagine how devastated you must have been (and still are), I'd find something like that very hard to get over. There's also a lesson here for those of us with a yard of cars that we love to see peoples' reactions when they see them, but letting people in can all too easily come at a hefty price. Absolute bastards.
uk_senator Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 A bloke who lives opposite us had his Jag XJ8 used as a trampoline one night. No one ever caught the wankstaines behind the damage. I’m not a fan of violence but I think they deserve to have their dick and balls cut off with a rusty stanley knife, myself. Same thing nearly happened to mine about a year ago, caught 4 hooded youths literally climbing onto the back bumper/boot with the intention of running over it.. I yelled out, they did a runner, I ran out, jumped in it & went looking for them.. Thank fcuk I didnt find them or I swear to God there`d be 4 families mourning the loss of their angelic little boys... Virtually all my cars have been keyed in the last 20 odd years, even aerosoled matt black ones, I`ve had maybe 5 mirrors kicked off & outside where I live now is used as a rat run, so I have the bumper corners scuffed almost monthly. I also have an alcoholic vindictive neighbour who parks with his bumpers I`ve given up now, I just touch them in with marker pens..
Morgan84 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I also have an alcoholic vindictive neighbour who parks with his bumpers I`ve given up now, I just touch them in with marker pens.. I have a nice towbar on the back of my Sierra and V70 which are a good deterrent

I have a nice towbar on the back of my Sierra and V70 which are a good deterrent Doesnt stop him unfortunately, he just hits the corners or the front instead... Oh, & my garage door.. And if he cant do that, he just gobs on them instead.. Maybe I should replace the ones out the front with a couple of bull bar equipped Landies instead..
Morgan84 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Maybe someone will smack his bumper,or back into his door with a towbar,or fly past with a bullbar wearing Pajero
uk_senator Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Maybe someone will smack his bumper,or back into his door with a towbar,or fly past with a bullbar wearing Pajero Nope! He doesnt give a monkeys what his cars look like, if they get too damaged he just gives them to his Dad (who has a bodyshop) & gets them done free. Its loose loose. I`ll be moving when I can afford to.
Morgan84 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Brake fluid is another favorite of vandalising bastards
ruffgeezer Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Maybe someone will smack his bumper,or back into his door with a towbar,or fly past with a bullbar wearing Pajero Maybe someone will smack a can of special brew up his piss hole with a table leg...
wackywacerwill Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 My mini rant has nothing on NB's trauma but... Found my tranny screen had a big chip in the line of sight and a big stone sitting on top of the wiper the other week. Bastards.

That would be an idea scenario, dont think he`s ever sober enough to feel it though..
uk_senator Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Oh, I forgot, there were 4 mass spree`s, 3 near mine when on one night ALL the cars in one street had ALL their tyres slashed, a few months later another local street had most of their windows smashed, another time in my street kids aerosoled up most the cars on the other side of the street (on the pavement side), then, in my parents street all the cars on one side of the road got keyed, both at the side of the road & on driveways, including my brothers 944`s bonnet. Half way through the resto on this (after I`d resprayed it), that neighbours chav son got into it, burned wax all over the centre console, etched something into the steering wheel, ripped the headlining down, cut the back seat base, broke the ash tray, snapped the indicator stalk off, nicked the gearknob & generally made a mess of it. The last one is where my Uno was broken into last year when I was in hospital. Luckily they were stupid enough to break the ignition barrel switch, so they couldn't start it or it`d ended up burned out somewhere.. Oh, since that Uno`s been sitting, its also had its windscreen cracked twice & a hammer sized dent put in its bonnet. Nothing compared to what Nigels been through though.
R9UKE Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 I hadn't realised just how common this kind of petty crime is. Amazing how many bitter, fucked up people there are in this world. My old Clio suffered the same fiddling as your Uno. In my case, the fucking idiot put the shifter in D before attempting to start it. Thanks to that unbelievable move of stupidity, it lives on today with a perspex rear quarter light
Morgan84 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Thats why I never leave a car outside overnight where any roaming idiots might see a opportunity for 'fun'. Mine are always parked out of sight, and have good security in place;I'm lucky this is a nice area, but places not too far from here have seen peoples cars marked by retarded idiots. Sad when you can't leave your own property outside your own home without some dumbass spoiling it
Mr_Bo11ox Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Amazing all this lot. I live on what looks like a pretty ropey ex-council estate, and have never had the slightest bit of bother, apart from that nobhead who chucked a beer bottle through my truck window a few weeks back, and the police picked him up, charged him, made him pay back the £12, made him get some booze rehabilitation and stuck a 3 month ban on him coming on the estate! Fair play to the doughnut-munching crime busters of cheshire.
Spiny Norman Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Amazing all this lot. I live on what looks like a pretty ropey ex-council estate, and have never had the slightest bit of bother.... I think a lot of the time, the worse the area the safer a car is, particularly if it belongs to a local. Worst place I ever lived for cars getting tanned was in what most people think of as the 'posh' west end of Glasgow, near the Botanic Gardens. Loads of pissed up students meant the door got kicked in a few times, the mirrors and wipers got ripped off with depressing regularity and I just gave up on the aerial.... I've also stayed in places Pod won't come into on their own and never had a bit of bother. In a lot of the really rough areas the local neds were just about smart enough to know better than to piss off the neighbours, some of whom were not very nice men at all....
SambaS Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 What a miserable thread this is. I am absolutely astounded. The last thing you want is to end up in prison for executing some rough justice but by God.....
Craig the Princess Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 NB that is terrible, I hope the Dad gave his son a damn good hiding. I've been fairly lucky bar one break-in on my AX when home from uni in London I didn't unpack staight away, bent door and CD collection gone. Not a good idea to go through the car wash to cheer myself up before fixing the door then having to hold a bin-bag up to the crack above the door and getting soaked Oh, and the cunts in Nuneaton who nicked my Dad's Montego when I had borrowed it and torched it. I may be a wooley lefty against capital punishment but I would have gladly gaffer-taped them to the seats of an Allegro and put a hosepipe from the exhaust in the window.
nigel bickle Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Mrs' Fiat Coupe is parked out front. She leaves at 6am for her 90 mile commute to central Poole. Only this morning she didnt -because she appears to have acquired 2 'sidewall punctures overnight- one complete with braddle-type instrument that clearly wouldnt come back out.. Awaiting Feds (for fingerprints hopefully) before I get it sorted. Thankfully, we keep a spare car ready -so no real hassle for her. Just me.
nigel bickle Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 CCTV wouldnt help. The Police have 'strongly advised' mer not to fit any CCTV that shows any aspect of land that is not my property. If I film someone breaking into a car, off the property (as the case here -out front) its inadmissable/unusable. If I film an ''innocent'' -I may be liable for damages (unspecified). If I film only onto my property- and do not have the many/various CCTV specified signs up (-as laid out by law, apparently) the footage gained is again inadmissable. My local PCSO, and 'Community Sergeant'' -are no longer on speaking terms. If i put in another 'pointless complaint' they may elect to take action against me -for time wasting. I only bothered to tell them this time because of 'said implement' hanging out of the tyre. Told at 6.30 am Promised urgent action- 9.45: Nothing.....
Lankytim Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Surely you can film what you like in a public area? I'd stick a camera up regardless.
nigel bickle Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 If i stick a camera up -with any view of public property, or anyone on it:- A. It cant be used in Court.. B I get nicked. I've had that explained to me, twice VERY clearly.
SambaS Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 POINTLESS COMPLAINT! This is making me very angry. Is the police force in your area ran by complete imbeciles or something?
SambaS Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Sounds like they are very PRO crime, lazy, jobsworth pricks to me.
