"Altered" L15 Citroen

Actually I approve. There are worse things you could do to an old and presumably knackered Citroen. Wouldn't be my choice of colour scheme, but someone wanted it that way once...

Ha, I was expecting a Toyota or V8 engine. Top marks for the Renner 16 with column change and the GS suspension, was it already one of the late tractions with hydraulic suspension at the rear? Citroen did knock a few out to test the system before the DS went into production. They had the six cylinder engine if my memory serves correctly.

Sounds intriguing mechanically. In terms of looks, it's like Beauford have done a restoration job on it. Horrific.

You have to mention the wheels, they leap out and stab you in the face with their absolute horribleness. Aside from that the mirros look like they were found on a 1990's tipper wagon and something about the whole car just doesn't cut it imho. I haven't clicked on the link because to be frank I think my eyes would break if they saw any more of it.

So that's a massive, MASSIVE dislike.

They look suspiciously like Toyota plastic wheel trims to me so shouldn't be too hard to lose them - just corner a bit quick.

AARGH, those wheels are so fucking awful on that! Lob them into the nearest bin and the rest of it would look pretty good I reckon.

go to the trouble of painting it and then £5 wheeltrim it

that and the chrome on the side bleurgh but nice car otherwise

What a mongrel of a car.

Rear lights off a Beetle. And possibly a Beetle rear bumper too.

A fucking Citroen KEYRING glued to the centre of the steering wheel. Come on...

Renault engine.

Poundland wheeltrims.

I agree about the non-Citroen bits, but it is not a restoration as such, and it is priced at less than half that of a "proper" one.

the rear bumper by the way looks to be original, the tail lights are useable for an update, the steering wheel badge is a good idea badly done, the injin is quite an inspired choice for a swap. The suspension is the same, I don't think this model got the hydraulics. The wheels, laughable, but if they were alloys of the same pattern would we think they were wonderful ? The choice of colour inside and out is a personal thing too.
