vulgalour Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 This just popped up over on the blue forum, thought it worthy of a repost over here because it's bright yellow, plenty of storage greb (been in storage since 1987, apparently) and a profeshunal advert. vulgalour Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 Forgot to put that in, so I've added it to the original post.
Lord Sterling Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 The plate reminds me of The Professionals Capri X-Pack:
trigger Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 That is nice, I wonder if that's the same one that was on autotrader for a while that i posted on here?
Cavcraft Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Reg. no. looks very familiar (and not because of The Professionals) I wonder if it's an ex-demo/press car?
The Reverend Bluejeans Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 I had an absolute shitheap of an Escort 1600 Sport about 25 years ago that was SOO750R - it had been a Shellsport racer and later a rally car.I doubt this was a press car 'cos Triumph were based in Coventry - they had Midlands plates. It looks lush tho - youv can't beat Inca yellow..
autofive Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 BING BONG Susan, the reg plate raper to reception please
Skizzer Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 anyone know where I can buy some arch extensions and maybe a ducktail spoiler???don't mind messing around to make them fit Cosmic
vulgalour Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 I was really hoping that wouldn't happen, this needs to be allowed to shine as the bright yellow shite it truly is, not end up with lots of poke and pretension. I say that as the owner of an hilariously pretentiously modified car myself.
holbeck Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Early TR7 on Essex plates, here's my two penneth....BL used to register late prototypes or off-tool /off line pre-production cars with Essex plates, and Ford also returned the compliment by registering pre-production cars in Brum. These cars would often be driven openly but unbadged on public roads for mileage accumulation and de-bugging purposes.Although (shooting down own theory) are there not TR7's on P plates?
