Is it just me, or does anyone else find this sort of thing a little odd?!

Not keen on the whole concours thing I must say.

What's that black sort of ex-Commie looking motor in second to last picture? Looks like it rocks a phat one to me.

It's a Datsun Cedric! It does look a bit 'Eastern Bloc' but none the worse for it.

Sorry that's the only other photo I took of it. As you can probably tell its an MM Minor. But with one (or rather two!) glaring differences from originality that would be the first things I sorted if I had one of them! I found it quite strange on such an otherwise concourse type car with lots of time invested.

I love the 1966 Chrysler (blue yank) a proper Chrysler, not like the shite they make today. It might have been better for the marque if it had gone bust in 1979, just like Rover was better off dying when it did than being a badge on a Proton Gen 2 (a deal was in the offing at one point) .

The black Cedric is well known in Japanese car circles, I remember seeing it in 1993 before the Datsun OC even existed. That shape one was possibly never sold here (or very limited numbers if so), it came from Zimbabwe I think and was gradually restored to exceptional standard by a chap in the Northwest. He sold it a couple or so years ago, new owner seems to get it out to a lot of shows.

Is that that feckin' green Minor that I keep seeing at every show I go to? He gets around I'll give hime that. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it comes with bits of foam inder the arches to stop the dirt and the rear springs are wrapped up in plastic.Fair play, some concours cars look nice, but you can take it too far.

Love the SD1's 8) Is it just me that sees a 'double entendre' on the sign displayed on the Minor??I'm all for keeping a car in good nick, but the concours thing all seems a bit snobby to me :?
