YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 I saw this Proton in Surrey. I don't think there are many of the 'Puma' version left on the road.
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 I spotted this Yugo Zastava Special in Wareham last year. The owner had bought it in Weymouth for £150.
red5 Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Nope. Made 500 iirc. Half Saloons, half Aerobacks. And the Panache edition out at the same time for the Ladies. lol.
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 I spotted this 1994 Lada Samara Envi off the A3 abandoned in the back end of Painshill Hill Park in Cobham. Probably joy ridden by some likely lads who thought they could access the A3 from the woods - not to be! They ended up getting stuck on a tree stump.
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 I spotted the fabulous Yugo Zastava 45 in Kilburn.
eddyramrod Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Lada Samara ... Probably joy ridden Any joyrider who admitted to TWOCing a Lada would be buried in those woods at 3am by his homies and his name never mentioned again! And that's before the owner catches up with him! I can say these things, I've had a bunch of RWD Ladas; also FSOs and even a Skoda. Do we have a "Proud" emoticon?
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 1992 Kia Pride LX - Wow a Pride with whitewalls - I wonder how many Kia prides are around with whitewalls?
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 1996 Lada Riva 1.5 E - Parked off the A298 near Collierswood. Lovely!
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 1978 Lada 1200 estate - A holiday in Cornwall turned up this interesting find in the undergrowth behind an abandoned house near Port Isaac.
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 Resting in a Sussex scrapyard . According to 'How Many left" this was the last SLX IE registered in Britain. Has anyone seen any others (SLXs)?
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 1969 Volvo 145 estate - I saw this Volvo on the A283 at North Chapel towards Petworth. It's been parked here on private land for over 20 years.
RedSparrow Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Hey, you have spotted some good stuff! Lada in field photo for calendar?
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 1985 Citroen Visa Convertible and 1989 Seat Ibiza Crono - Apparently there are only a handful of these left in the UK. This is a 1985 model and is in a sort of abandoned state next to a pub on the A31 near Winchester. Also in the picture is a Seat Ibiza Crono limited edition.
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 1980s Dacia 1300 sport - A privately-owned rare Dacia sponsored by Practical Classics magazine. Along with the IZH and the Yugos, this was, in my opinion, the most interesting on display at this year's Classic Car show at the NEC.
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 The three red Vauxhalls - Came across these in Woodley near Reading. A Vauxhall Nova, Vauxhall Cavalier and a early model J Reg Vauxhall Astra. This was a residential area - I'd love to know the story. None of them appear to be in use.
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 1994 Proton GL auto MPI - Seen at Brooklands Museum in Surrey. Lovely.
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 1979 Datsun FIII 120 A - Spotted this rare Datsun FII 120A in the car park at the Bridges scrapyard at Pease Pottage near Crawley.
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 1983 Yugo Zastava 311 - Red Oktober Day 2011 at the Tramway Museum in Crich, Derbyshire.
YugoLada Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 1984 Honda Civic 3AT auto - A nice car. I saw this one parked near Hampton Court.
Timewaster Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 The three red Vauxhalls - Came across these in Woodley near Reading. I'd love to know the story. None of them appear to be in use. Some sort of experiment by the makers of this?
Split_Pin Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Those spots are class in a glass - great photo skills. The 3 red Vauxhalls and the Lada in a field must be early candidates for photo of the year!
Morgan84 Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 1992 Kia Pride LX - Wow a Pride with whitewalls - I wonder how many Kia prides are around with whitewalls? The Kia Pride 'Melody' was coral pink, and had wide whitewall tyres as standard issue !
MrDuke Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Nice I can never see these without being reminded of . 'Scuse the language. And the violence.
MrDuke Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 The Kia Pride 'Melody' was coral pink, and had wide whitewall tyres as standard issue ! I thought all the Kia Prides originally came with whitewalls? I can definitely remember seeing a red 5-door, and a white 3-door, with them. It was when they first went on sale here, and I remember being highly amused by it at the time, as well as feeling slightly sad that no-one would bother replacing them with whitewalls when they wore out.
Morgan84 Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 1994 Proton GL auto MPI - Seen at Brooklands Museum in Surrey. Lovely. I MOT a 1995 N plate one of those in the same color - the guy paid about £300 for it last year as a low milage one owner spare car- they love it better than the new car !!
