In the face of a semi limp at best Brexit (hard, pfffft), I'm already trying to ween myself from French Dinky chod.

Just needs a cutout of Bren's avatar leering out the back window....

oooo.... i got one of them.

the british version with the flashing light, driven off a cam on the back axil, and a back full of a AA battery.

so no room for a patent in this one, though the back door still opens.

Both those blood boxes were British issues.   The later one with the flashing lamp was simply an update to keep up with the Corgi job....

Thanks Felly managed to get these from the Coventry Motor Museum for about £10 each at the time. The detail and finish is of a decent standard on all of them. The Malaga is one of my favourites or this 127 clone I forgot to include!

Interesting factoid fans, the roof spoiler from the real life 127 fits perfectly onto a Fiat Strada...

I've been in ambulances several times this year and seeing the Cadillacs above has given me an urge to collect ambulances.  Does that make me a bit sick?  (Sorry  :-D  :-D ).

Great shot with the lights on.

My brother recently rediscovered his Norev Simca ambulance after years in lofts.  He said the suspension is a bit lopsided but the body hasn't warped.  It was bought in St Aygulf in 1964 or '65.  He sent me this shot of it and also one of his 2CVs of similar vintage.

He said that the tailgate window opens upwards and the lower section opens downwards, presumably replicating the real thing. Both parts were a bit reluctant to move but he managed it without anything breaking and removed the stretcher.

I think I will look on evilbay for more tasty diecast shite over Chrimbles. Wishing everyone here a happy winter gifting period.

Tailgate, windows, pennants and taillights for the Marly ambulance are available, curiously enough.

Besides, at least some of the ambulances shown lately are Pontiacs.

I am part way through converting a police Vauxhall Disastra to a driving school car, going to do the same to a Vanguards 205 Look., not sure what to do wth that Aldi when it arrives.

Some stuff I buy just because I'm weird.
These are 1/43 scale.

First is a 1912 Hispano Suiza Alfonso by a company called C. I. L.

Next is the most bonkers car built by a French manufacturer even more clinically insane than the inmates of André's Asylum.

And this is so rare that it is bordering obscurity.

I am thus happy that I at least got a restoration project.

The ones in the know among you should be able to tell why it would be impossible to have these two cars in one photo.

I have just bought a 1/43 scale Holden Commodore by a brand I have never heard of, Paradise Garage!

I'm on the look out for a mid 70s Mercury Comet if you happen across 1....

Are you still looking for Ford Orions?

Ooooh.....lush!    Nice model that.

Here's mine from today's unwrappage.   Particularly pleased with the warp factor Merc as that was a genuine surprise.  Gonna be some drunken table top driving later but that Merc will seize up before long - I am going to need more bottle than Newkie to try and open the bonnet and check the oil!

Got one on its way Andy, but cheers. No diecast for me this Christmas. My birthday on Monday though. Eddy got a nice surprise from me. Hopefully he will put photos up soon. All the very best to everyone here.

So it's Christmas, which means keeping out of Mrs frogchods way.

Obviously I've spent some time in my workshop which is well out of her way. Workshop is in a different building 110 meters away so she's happy...

Two dinky Amis have been stripped and primed and transporter number three has been completed. This ones a modified Altaya U23 pick up and a Corgi trailer. Despite the trailer being 1/50 I don't think it's too out of scale.

Absolutely top work on that transporter!    Looks dead good together, I reckon....

Xmess did not reprieve me from a plastic kit.

Thankfully the tooling has been restored to include the stock wheels again:

Full serial killer spec is hence possible.
