While he had some new Oxfords - the Cortina Mk5 in beige and the DAF grain tipper were nice, but not really my thing these days. 

Alan went to look behind his stall for some 'new stuff' on my behalf, but only came back with a couple of Hot Wheels fantasy track cars with orange wheels. I thanked him for his efforts. 

One item of very mild interest was an incomplete no-name 'Garbage Truck' - missing its loadbed, but otherwise looking very like the Superfast era Lesney Berliet bin lorry:

I did call into B&M and then Smyths on the way home, though - emerging with these two:

I'm a sucker for a Subaru, what can I say. 

The Beetle's quite nicely done, though I can't help feeling that matt or satin paint would have looked better on it. 

Also had a delivery from Corgi Model Club - I've skipped a fair few lately, but this Heinkel really appealed to me:

It's so tiny; practically lost in the box. 

Not really digging these 'member exclusive colours, buy the rest from the Corgi store' efforts at false scarcity and hype building, but I'm glad they're still going and have some more new castings still to come - the Police Mini van is the only one I'm all that keen to get from the 2026 releases announced so far. 

Still interested in the Whizzwheels collection they trialled spectacularly poorly last year with the blue Cortina Mk3 offering - but we'll see what happens...

Apologies in advance for spamming the thread, here are what I've picked up recently. After a massive diecast drought in January and early February, things seem to have picked up in the last few weeks.

Starting with Hot Wheels, things are still pretty bad around here regards mainlines, but Tescotainer came up with some recent-ish ones a couple of weeks ago, including one of my all-time favourite castings in a nice livery.

I did think the Skyline and Z were a Then & Now pairing until I got it home, then realised that the Z is paired up with the 240Z from a couple of cases ago,

Been a while since I was able to complete a Then & Now pairing so easily...

The I.D Buzz Bomb is a nice bit of fun.

Nice chocolate-caramel coloured Porsche. Another Then & Now to hunt the other one to.

Poundland came up trumps for Matchbox, about the only decent place to find them around here at the moment. 

I was pleased to find the Rav4 duo, the '97 one is a little belter.

This new Tranny Custom is a good 'un too. Reminds me of how excited I was about the red Matchbox Mk3 coming out back in '86...

Prius makes an interesting comparison with the modded HW version.

Found the red 2CV at last.

Polestar is one of the few modern EVs I actually fancy.

He had three of them in this new colour at a tenner a go - I already bought a Cardinal Red one from him a few months back, so unless Oxford release some in the same colours as my 1:1 Cortinas (Meadow Green, Crystal Green) I'm probably good for any more. 

I did take a pic of them on the stall, but it was all blurry so I left it out.

No, apparently the Whizzwheels collection is still going ahead later this year. The way in which it was soft launched last year was a shitshow though - hopefully they've learned from that.
