Jolly good! I suspect your car of choice will be whichever one actually starts. I'm aiming to be there in the BX Mk1 but might have to opt for the Mk2.

Just got the Panda tent out this afternoon to make sure it's all OK. It is. So it's a goer. I shall be in the 750 most probably.

I am now working sporadically, so still down as a maybe; the Senator's charging issues are still causing a grumpy and I've not had time to get the alternator off and sorted, so it appears that any appearance will be in the autoshite bike 745GLE with folding seat camper conversion function, which has provided me with (touch wood) sterling service for over one whole week now...

I also might bring a load of old car magazines to sell, i was thinking about 50p each?, I have stack loads to shift plus i have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX30 camera with a 2GB card for £20 if anyone's interested i can bring too.

It has a couple of scratches on the rear screen but nothing to worry about and is a 7MP, In fact my new Olympus camera isn't much better really .

Good evening all!

 

Well, so far it is good news on the field front.

 

It was mowed last weekend in readiness for Shitefest, and although slightly (and I mean only slightly) squelchy at the bottom end, 95% of it is fine and dandy and shouldn't pose us any problems. So, just keep everything crossed for not too bad weather between now and Saturday!!

 

Loos are booked, the mega food purchasing spree arranged for Thursday evening, manic polishing of the Italian (and now a bit of British) on the fleet is underway. Gas for BBQ's to be sorted Friday, and quiz sheets to be printed off tomorrow. The dashboard quiz proved a bit of a download problem as it turned out to be a 175mB document...... so that will be interesting to how long 50 copies take to print off!

 

So, hope you are all still keen and fighting fit ...... if it's pissing down we will just have to decamp into the garage, which as the cars will have been kicked out, should be fine to house us all - including the bar and BBQs.

 

Any vegetarians coming?? Just so I know what to get on the non-meat front?

I have it all arranged to buy the Pony in the morning and will be gingerly proceeding down the motorway towards Shitefest from Walsall. Then proceeding back to Tiverton, hopefully having been able to fit the assorted Rover parts in it from Joe.

I am more than a little bit excited by the prospect of tat collecting mission and shitefest all in one day.

Despite having long hair and a beard, a tendency to wear sandals (not this summer...) and owning a 2CV, I am NOT a vegetarian. Only a few days away!

 

Weather isn't looking superb so I fear I might need to bring the Mk2 BX estate. Either way I'll be in a prime slice of rusty Citroen-shite!
